60fps Xbox Series S
Sorry to bring this topic up again but does anyone (community manager, developer etc) know if Xbox Series S (XSS) will ever get performance mode and 60fps for EA Sports PGA Tour? Having tried 60fps o...
I’d vote for getting an Xbox x in addition to the S (if you have more than one Tv.)
I do happen to have one of each. The X sitting on my 4K 120hz TV and the S on an older 4k 60hz Tv. In all honesty, I can’t tell a huge difference between the performance mode in this game on the X and the normal mode on S. For that matter, I can’t really tell a performance difference on ANY game I play on them both.
Granted consoles are exclusively for sports and adventure games for me. Games that are fps sensitive like MMO and Shooters get my Pc and mouse for the superior tracking.
Thanks to all for your replies. I'd also noticed that the question about 60fps on XSS has been asked several times without a clear answer, so I thought starting a fresh post with a clear title might help!
ELF014 and 7AnimalMother I'm very interested in your replies as you both state that 60fps on XSX appears to make little difference compared to 30fps on the XSS in this game? The main gripe for me is the swing meter in 3-click mode that runs as 'smooth as butter' on friends PC (60fps) but seems quite jittery on my XSS. If the swing meter ran as smooth on the XSX (60fps) as it does on the PC version then I really would consider buying the XSX. 7AnimalMother, could you compare the 3-click swing meter on both your XBOX versions if you ever get the chance? I would be interested in the results 🙂
I must admit the rest of the game appears less effected, for example, zooming into ball trajectory when lining up a shot appears less jittery on XSS and doesn't bother me as much, however, the swing meter really feels sub-par on XSS.
Once again, thanks very much for all your speedy replies and EA DEVS or Community Managers, come on, please tell us if there any plans for 60fps on Xbox Series S in the future!!

Sure I can try to compare using 3-click. I generally use analog so I could see where it may be less noticeable as opposed to a timed button press.
Keep in mind your screen will play into the equation as a potential limiting factor.
Thanks very much 7AnimalMother that would be appreciated. Good point about the screens but I'm sure 60fps would still improve the 3-click mechanism compared to the current jittery 30fps visuals.
And, once again, I kindly ask Community Managers/Devs to give an answer or update regarding 60fps on Xbox Series S. Thanks.
I apologize for the late response. I forgot about this post and your request.
I also haven't played this game for about 3 weeks... it could be a month.
I did test for you this morning and I think there is a difference... but it is not that perceivable. It plays pretty smooth in both modes, but I swear the meter plays a little quicket in performance mode.
I was actually weaned on 3-click my whole life and only switched over in 2014 with The Golf Club series.
Note that I am playing on the HARD swing settings and I played 2 rounds with 3-click to try and confirm what I was seeing.
For myself it feels like the swing speed is not consistent with 3-click. I seem to be able to time my drives perfect everytime but I can be a little fast with my shorter clubs.
Note that I also feel there is quite a bit of lag between when I click my button on my PS5 and when it registers on the game. For instance I time my accuracy at the beginning of the timing gauge to hit a perfect swing. As I said this seems to work for my driver... not so much for my othef clubs.
It could be just me... but I can't seem to get the timing down with 3-click on the HARD difficulty.
But I will say... the distance control is deadly accurate, and the RNG didn't seem to be nearly as penal if at all.
But for your original question... there was no real perceivable difference between modes as far as 3-click was concerned.
