A Couple of Comments and Suggestions
My friend and I finally completed an online match but we had to restart 4 times to play 18 holes. For some reason, he continually gets disconnected and the only way he can play a full 18 is offline. We played match play since there still isn't turned based multiplayer when playing stroke. What we did was manually keep the score and when he got disconnected we resumed play on that hole. He has submitted multiple reports of the disconnections to EA and tried every suggestion including those from EA and still has the issue of being disconnected.
I have had no issues but multiplayer is a lot more fun than solo quick matches. However since it is not possible to save a quick round match I haven't even played those much. Basically just played Career rounds where I can save a round and continue later.
I am surprised that some basic options in computer golf games dating back years such as replays, stats, and saving rounds have still not been implemented.
The graphics are the best I've seen for a golf game but I wonder why there isn't something like animated golfers on other holes which would add to the immersion. EA sports games on the NFL and NBA have multiple animations of players in continuous movement yet there has still hasn't been a golf game released that has more than just animation for one player at a time. There is animated water, trees, grass so why not golfers walking in the distance on an adjacent hole, or up ahead putting on the green? I don't know if the developers of this game even read the comments and suggestions but adding animated golfers would be a first for cyber golf.
In the meantime, I continue to be optimistic that some of the many suggestions I see on the forum will be added.
