My bad... I get sidetracked when answering people.
And I didn't say anything about how much better 2K23 was. In fact I said that EA's representation of reading greens and the cameras are much better in EA.
But I think to actually improve EA's game we need to draw from what works from other games. Unfortunately there is only one other golf game to really draw from.
I'm on record as saying neither game is perfect, and 2K has their share of warts. But EA had the opportunity to really knock it out of the park, with their legacy in previous games and the advantage of knowing what currently existed. This is really a weak effort when you take everything into consideration.
I'm fine with change if it makes sense and works. And in the end I think we all want the same thing. A diverse product that can cater to as many people as possible. But you are right... I do get off track, age will do that to you.
I wonder if it would be possible for EA to add the option of disabling RNG in a future patch? EA?

I think i read they cant turn it off its part of the swing design but they can tweak it. They just tweaked it last big patch and it did not help.
