Another "Unable to connect to EA server"

PGA Tour is the ONLY game that will not connect to its own server !!!!

I deleted the program and reinstalled. It connected ok for a short while initially. I was building players and then it started breaking the connection.

Sometimes the trying to connect message comes up and I am locked out of even playing offline. Until it finally times out. 

After re-loading the program from the DVD I then did the check for updates and it loaded the update patch/file. That's when all went real bad.

I have read all over these forums about EA server connectivity issues. 

SUGGESTION: create a button that allows "offline" play in the very first GUI page. Quit trying to force a connection all the time.

This is pretty obviously a EA server or more likely a EA Sports firewall issue.  I have seen posts from April that have not been resolved. My perception is that the EA server connectivity issue is across multiple platforms. This is obviously an EA "Product Problem" and nothing else.

IN Addition, the EA web site is a convoluted mess. There is a "Create" case button but it only gets you to self help.

How do you open a ticket?? If this cant be resolved in a few days I would suggest that

1. you hire better qualified IT security folks and tech support people (in the USA) 

CAN you imagine for a moment, when you go to the hospital if they had a medical device that couldn't communicate to OEM servers that was needed for your childs surgery/life.  That issue would be resolved in a few hours most of the time. Server connectivity is not rocket science. I recently retired from a very large Hospital as the Senior Radiology Consulting Engineer and have dealt with so many connectivity issues that it's crazy. Most of the time something had been changed on the firewall that messed everything up.

This is my first experience with EA sports games and so far I am less than impressed.

Come on EA folks get this resolved.
