Any positive posts to read?
I’ve been playing this game for a little over 2 months now, at 1st I never really liked the game but now, I think it’s very good and fun to play, I levelled up my golfer in that time and it has reall...

I would say there are people here providing their opinion of the game. No one has to agree... it is just their opinion and as valid as anyones.
What I have noticed though is those considered as complainers have pretty much always provided an example to back up their statements.
This game is a weak effort to represent the game of golf. There is noway we should be able to shoot tye ridiculously low scores in this game if it is supposed to be representative of a golfing sim.
If EA wants to package it as a golf game like Mario Golf, then yes it is closer to that. But even Hot Shots Golf is more of a challenge than this game.
The game looks pretty good but not really by today's standards (check out the latest with the Unreal Engine). So really what makes this game so good? I have a hard time answering that question.
Play on sim mode if you want a challenge, the setting is literally there for you.
@theycagednon We do already with every aid turned off, AI scoring turned right up and with a base player with no upgrades and it’s still not the genuine challenge we need
Yeah, there's a few believing the game is no challenge, they're playing rounds of -15 blindfolded with their toes at the hardest settings, with no spec and no aids. They want to be playing rounds in the 90s like they do in real life. This game is just not for them and it's all good. That's why somebody I know went back to Perfect Golf playing with a mouse as PGA 2K23 is no challenge for him either. And he's not wasting his time constantly complaining here.

I wouldn't say 2K23 isn't a challenge. There is a ceiling there if you are willing to accept the challenge.
I have everything disabled in that game as well with the exception of the wind direction, playing on LEGEND swing difficulty. And I am almost never under par.
The difference between the 2 games is 2K23 provides a ceiling for those looking for a more of a challenge. EA bottoms out way too early as far as difficulty and realism goes.
I think many here aren't asking to change the game for those that like it the way it is. But rather to also create a platform for those looking for more of a challenge.
It was never about one or the other, the question is why we didn't get both?

And what scores are you getting?
@theycagednon Pretty much low 60s without putting in much effort. Went round St Andrew’s in 61 the other day and that’s with me rushing the last half dozen holes as it was getting boring.
What a lot of people here don’t seem to understand is I complain about the game because the game has huge potential and I want to see that potential achieved, but it’s only catering for the casuals and don’t get me wrong, it’s okay to be a casual and like the game, but they would really help themselves by expanding the swing difficulties for a start to cater towards competitive players who would get equal fun out of the game like the rest do if only they addressed this and other issues which I’ve raised on so many occasions over the months. Golf is a game where shots are earned, where every shot is a grind towards getting that one opportunity to pick up a shot, where making par is a reasonable achievement. To address what @Katybee_1313 said… I’m not looking to be playing rounds in the 90s, thats such a bizarre thing to say, a real overreaction. Just to also address what you said about other games. Yes, there’s other games and they are better, but I’ll go back to the point I mentioned before about potential. This game has it to blow other games away and that’s why I came back to give my feedback because I haven’t given up on this product reaching its potential. Is that something I should be criticised for??
and to address @BishopfrmJuice7 statement about players like me being naive for expecting a sim like experience. I’m so sorry that I expected EA to achieve with this what they’ve achieved with so many other games down the years. What a crime to commit 🙄. So the game has 4 difficulty settings. Why not add 2 more above that? Just tell me why not.
I don’t want the game to change to alienate the players that currently enjoy it, all I’ve ever asked is that the game appeals to all levels of players which 2K23 achieves. More swing difficulties, no RNG, actual physics, OB shown on hole maps just to mention a few.
Everyone is allowed to enjoy the game and you’re all free to enjoy the game, I just don’t appreciate those who think it’s so bad and toxic that I want swing difficulties added and issues resolved so I can also enjoy the game. It’s time a few of you gave a little more respect to the few who are giving honest feedback on what needs improving so we ALL can enjoy the game.
and PS @Katybee_1313 … I don’t play real rounds in the 90s, I’ve played them in the 70s and I’m just a decent amateur
