I’ve been playing this game for a little over 2 months now, at 1st I never really liked the game but now, I think it’s very good and fun to play, I levelled up my golfer in that time and it has really helped, it’s not perfect but none of them are. I’ve been playing golf games ever since the good ole Commodore 64 days and this has become my favorite. People need to lighten up with all the complaining, geesh.

They probably thought the game was good enough to roll out but from what I read at launch in the steam forums, there was no chance I was purchasing this game so I waited about 6 months, now there seems to be many more decent, positive, reviews on steam compared to launch so some progress has been made.
I play golf games 90% of the time myself, just something about them that does it for me over any other type of game, I play them even more in the winter 🥶 when it’s cold out ( I’m in Canada ) Nothing like sitting back in my lazy boy and playing a good round of golf ⛳️. Well that would explain alot, I'm in Canada too. To be honest I don't think there have been too many major changes to the gameplay since it's release. Other than the funky physics with putting around the hole.
I hope you take the time to play both games in depth so that you can make an educated decision as to which better suits you.
EA does have a better single player career mode if you can get the difficulty ramped up high enough. I wasn't able to make it difficult enough where you didn't win every tournament.

I’m near Windsor myself, it’s 46 degrees out right now ( no need to play golf 😎 ) Old school with the 46. I can’t see myself purchasing 2k23 again, I’m just more than happy with this game. Maybe by the time I reach your level, that 5 year new release will come out 🫣. I wonder what made more people give the game a good rating on Steam lately? Still plenty of negative ratings as well though. I treat many of the reviews whether at Steam Amazon or any other place with a grain of salt, who knows who’s really writing them, people will go to great lengths for a dollar. Yeah, it's not the same. Even the most senior programmers, they had exactly one golf game (EA Rory) built on Frosbite engine. The Senior designer started for TW12 on the old TW engine for PS3 and is now working to build the next 2K golf game. These guys were all working on other EA games after Rory. Most of them are now working on other EA games, not golf. Probably a big reason why EA wants all their games on Frosbite, to send their programmers to any games they developed. If you want experience, it's the guys at HB studios working on the same old Unity engine they've been using since the start of their golf games, an engine so old all my 3 kids were not born.
By the way, I'm living north of Toronto, so a proud Canadian too. And I have to give it for the guys at HB Studios, they were a proud Canadian company before selling to 2K.

True... at least they were your neighbours in Nova Scotia... I personally live on the West Coast, born and grew up in Vancouver but currently reside a little further east of the city.
I'm surprise @bhamel stated your temperature in Fahrenheit... we are hovering at a high of 4°c and low of -2°c here.
But I was there at the beginning with HB Studio's... they really cared about the product they put out. It was a bit of a sad day for me when they sold their IP to 2K.

I hate to say it but it seems to me that golf games are second tier to these companies with football 🏈 and baseball ⚾️ games more of a top priority for them, my guess is it has something to do with money 💵. That’s not a good thing for me cuz I don’t play those games, hockey 🥅 might be down there with golf as well. I play golf clash on my tablet and EA recently purchased the game for 1.4 billion, yes 1.4 billion dollars. If I had developed a game of any kind and I was offered anywhere close to that number I couldn’t sign on the …….. dotted line fast enough. Let’s hope that both companies keep up the pressure on each other which will hopefully benefit all of us.

LOL. I’m currently in Ohio at my girlfriends house so between that and living 5 or so miles from Detroit, 99% of the weather I watch comes from the U S A and they are one of the very few countries left that didn’t go metric. I’m sure missing my golf game as well, I didn’t want to bring my laptop with me so I have no golfing to do. Heading to Florida next week for 15 days so it’s going to be a while until I start plowing golf balls into hazards, more Fahrenheit numbers will be entering my 🧠 brain. Your welcome. I’m currently in the U S and don’t hame my laptop here so I haven’t played in about 3 weeks, I’m definitely missing the game, gonna be about 2/3 more weeks. I’m thinking of grabbing a set of hybrids to play around with when I get back (the only clubs I haven’t upgraded yet) so that will keep me busy for a while. I did enjoy my 3 years playing 2k21 but I like this game even more, something about golf ⛳️ games that I really enjoy playing. Have fun out there and Happy New Year Allan.

I agree there that American Football, Football ⚽️ , Basketball and Baseball are in high demand compared to golf. That is reason why Madden 24, EA FC 24, NBA 2K24 and MLB the Show 23 have faster response from devs. Hockey is also in high demand and the devs from NHL 24 made a quick fix for adding back hybrid controls. The last time golf was in was in high demand was during Tiger’s heyday. The gameplay of the TW games showed that. Just hoping another Tiger comes along to get another golf game like TW14.
