I agree with a lot of the complaints being mentioned, but then these have been my issues with the game since day one.
I do believe we should be able to replicate shots, but within reason. I don't feel we should be able to hit the exact shot over and over, which is why I would be happy with a small amount of dispersion. A few yards with a driver... NOT the 20 plus yards we seem to be seei g.
The swing mechanics do seem off and the ball physics are not very realistic. As appealing as the game is to play... it is nowhere near a simulation. It is more a bad arcade video golf game.
As for issues with 2K23's swing timing... I'm not sure what you think is wrong with it. My only issue with 2K's swing is that it is far too fastcfor some swing types. Specifically chipping or partial shot types.
I have started playing 2K23 again, at least with this game I feel I am rewarded for my good shots and punished for my bad. Unlike EA where the randomness seems to at times overrides whatever you do in the game.
I probably did not specify swing with 2K23. I meant it to be too fast for swing type as you mentioned; but that is so minor compared to what is happening with EA PGA Tour. I actually like 2K23; just few touch ups to be close to TW14. If 2K adds the WWE photo face capture on its next iteration, I think that would make it the game to get.
As for dispersion, if it is within the shot radius of each shot type, I am fine with that. If the player has a higher accuracy, the dispersion should also get smaller. If EA made dispersion inversely proportional to accuracy, at least arcade would have had a chance to actually be fun. The overpowered dispersion made the game as unrealistic as Becky Lynch looking like the Talking Hamburgers from Micky Ds.
IMHO, the current PGA Tour is neither a simulation nor an arcade game. It feels more like a slot machine. Ironically, the opening tournament in Career is Waste Management Open Championship. The poor physics and Vegas like dispersion made the game feel like the Road to Waste Management.
