I totally agree, that the rough and bunker penalties must be adjusted (made harsher) in this game. Currently they have almost no impact on the shots.
This makes the recovery skill (especially for approach shots) totally irrelevant.
Flop and Pick shot are really overpowered and need to be nerfed as well.
Yesterday I played a flop shot that hit the flag stick and left me with a 20 foot putt! Generally I agree that getting up and down from a hazard by the green is generally not very challenging even to someone with my average skill level.
The skill point and spec systems do I suppose give a way to choose to make the game harder in that you can reduce how many you use. Not the real point I know but it is an option.
@Ultrasonic_77I hit the stick way too often and like you mentioned more often than not it is overly punishing. I usually end up between 25-45 feet from the cup.
I now intentionally aim away from it.
