Ball not being played from where it landed...

Platform:Steam-PC
Summarize your bug Ball not played from where it landed
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I drove off on the 6th hole at Oak Hill, the ball went right and landed in the heavy rough a few feet from the stream
What happens when the bug occurs? Next shot... the ball was in the "first cut"
What do you expect to see? Ball to be played from heavy rough where it landed

This is not the first time I have seen the game giving wrong or improved lies. Have previously reported a bug from 13th hole at Augusta where a perfectly playable shot was penalised for no good reason.

This improved lie also happened to me in the daily arcade tournament at Bandon Dunes this morning when my drive clearly landed between 2 tufts of very long vegetation. Then for the next shot there was a nice clear shot to green as the vegetation was now to my golfers left. This sort of thing also regularly happens when your ball lands near a wall or fence etc

If we are getting a drop, why not give a message saying you landed in a free drop zone and WHY is the ball sometimes positioned nearer the hole when it shouldn't be?

I dont see these preferred lies in other golf games, why are they happening in yours?

I thought you prided yourselves on this being an accurate simulation of golf!

You have got so much of this game right but these improved lies (often nearer the hole) and the ridiculous triple bogey pickups are spoiling what is otherwise a good game/simulation.

Am really enjoying the game apart from a few of these daft glitches that are happening every now and then

    Has happened way too much so I have now stopped playing this game. There are multiple posts about this on here and on the Reddit boards, Indeed there is a post just above this which has a video of this happening at Bandon. The people who made this game that decided that balls should be played from a different location than where it landed either know nothing about golf or should be sacked for poor shoddy programming. I'm also fed up of being penalised for a shot that was perfectly playable. Games are supposed to be fun, this one is infuriating. 🤣

    Shame really, you folks at EA  almost made a decent golf game. Shame you don't appear to  know or enforce the rules and make your own stupid rules up as you go along (triple bogey pickup)
