Can't access banff championship (alt) as I'm always qualified for the Open

I have 4 golfers at lv 50 to 60 and all of them are the open qualified so I can't figure out how to get the last quest for tournament part 4 done and get reward as it never allows me to go to that banff championship (alternative) tournament. Hmm any help?

    Just sim a season then another with your lowest golfer  until it lets you play it.

    maybe like some way to restart my career mode on a character without deleting. one?
