Could someone please explain how career mastery percentage works and what factors affect its progress ?
I think I recall seeing it go to 8% then later 16% but it seems to have stalled a bit there now. I mostly play career mode and have won all my first 20 weeks so far, but I play the occasional tournament (which I am rubbish at when there's no guides available) and the odd training and sponsorship challenge.

Sorry, I don't see how that can be.
That Mastery tab (the middle one of three) always shows the same percentage complete, regardless of which course I happen to be playing at that time in Career mode.
After pressing that Career Mastery tab, there's a view quests at the bottom. It will show you what you're missing. For just about everybody, we qualify for such tournaments as Bay Hill and missing all the alternate tournaments so we can't win them. Some started a second golfer to make sure they don't qualify for the main tournaments so they can play those alternates.
