Chaos Theory.

The people that created this game need to watch Jurassic park and listen to Jeff Goldblum about Chaos theory. They shouldn't mess with mother nature.

I had just taken several months off playing this. I got the itch to play some golf so I tried again.

the first round was fine.  I was remembering how to play.  Second round was great, I remembered.

Then the third round I remembered why I had stopped…. The Randomly Generated Nonsense.

This is still the most absurd function ever put in a video game.

    No… they shouldn’t have.

Welcome back. I have stopped playing since last August but I still post to see latest news. The Random Nonsense Generator is still here and it has been put on PEDs since Update 9. The RNG really fits the bill of Chaos Theory. RNG should have been called RCG (Random Chaos Generator).

  • Imagine that any Call of Duty player had a “random gunfire generator”.  Because, you know… a real life player isn’t going to be able to aim perfectly after a nearby explosion just blew up their ear drums.

@7AnimalMotherThat is not logic. That is just as subjective as the RGN.

No.  What’s not logic is the never ending whine fest about a component of the game that has a near 0 effect on scoring.   “Oh lawdy no.   I can only get 99% of my shots from 100 yards in to within 5 feet.  This rng is horrible! I must now throw a forum tantrum and quit in disgust.”

I don’t need to imagine that as most FPS use rng for bullet spread and damage variation.

OMG. This is a good one. In the 007 games, you actually could shoot your allies in multiplayer modes. If “random gunfire generator” existed, any Bond Girl can hit James Bond instead of Goldfinger. I normally play the Bond Girls in that game.
