Crash during Masters intro video on Career Mode (PC)

The game always crashes to desktop when trying to start the Masters in Career Mode on my first season with this golfer. The cinematic intro plays, then right when it is supposed to cut to Jack, Gary, and Tom teeing off, it just crashes instead. This has not happened on any other previous careers I have done with other golfers, and I was still able to play in the Masters as an amateur on this career, but I am at an impasse here. Here are the things I have tried, and none of them have worked:

• Reinstall of the game
• Clearing EA app cache
• Checking for up-to-date graphics drivers (they were up to date)
• Checking for Windows updates (it has been up to date)
• Setting default graphics to GPU for PGA Tour

Apparently this is a common glitch, and I have found no consistent answer from any of these forums. I love this game, but this is absolutely ruining the best time I have had with this game, and EA needs to know that this ruins the experience for players.
