if you take a look on the Fifa forums and madden forums even happens from time to time on Battlefield 2042, you don’t need to scroll down far to find out about these issues and most of these threads started soon after the game was released, I’ve made a few, one was locked because we continued to question and the others just ignored. We just get a response of your console is overheating, clean it or it’s immediately ‘your console is the issue send it to Microsoft’, that’s all well and good but why send it to Microsoft with one game doing it and also at the cost of £280 (if your console is out of warranty) it’s not the first thing I would suggest.
being an Xbox series x user, I had to try out flight simulator, I couldn’t resist, a game that I have been able to play for the most I’ve played 4 hours including keeping it in game while having a break and then further playing 2 hours on call of duty and have no shut downs at all and we are all immediately told, console issue, not our issue speak to Microsoft, Sony or your PC is knackered, we don’t even get a response of, ‘we will go away a investigate this issue’, just straight to the ‘it’s a console issue’, we go to Microsoft and the response is, ‘ if it’s one particular game doing this, then it’s an issue on the game side’. The fact my console can render a 1:1 scale of planet earth and can play a game that demands more from my console than Fifa 23 and previous enhanced FIFA’s, I think it will sway towards a game issue. Speaking to a friend who is a developer at Rebellion (Sniper elite series) and he’s told me an it’s an issue within the coding, further raising my suspicion that it’s a game issue. Also when playing Fifa for the time that I get before it shuts down my console, the heat that it releases, is no different to the heat from playing flight simulator or call of duty for hours on end.
away from the moan, that’s why I am hesitant about purchasing PGA, as much as I am looking forward to it and seeing what it looks like and what’s on offer, I just feel as though that it’s going to join the trend of what seems to be enhanced EA games that shut down people’s consoles and PC’s
