You should probably inform the various Tours that organize the Ryder cup that the flag they use to represent Europe is not actually the flag they use to represent Europe. Cause I don’t think they are aware of your set of facts.
P.S. The Flag of Europe pre-dated the EU entity by almost 40 years.

Fact - That flag represents only the European Union, a political entity.
Fact - The EU has zero representation through any man, woman or team, anywhere in the world of sport.
Fact - The only reason this flag is flown is because continental Europe itself, does not have a flag.
Fact - That flag does not represent players or captains whose country is not a member of the EU.
These are not MY facts, they are THE facts and the use of that flag is disrespectful to those players and the captain who are not represented by it.
