My wife and I created own characters and played locally againts each other in old EA Sports golf games. The characters we created had their own look, clothing and skills and these characters could improve their skills by performing tasks. We could choose where to play and so on. Is this kind of activity possible in EA Sports PGA Tour 2023?

I can't understand why it isn't possible to implement a local offline multiplayer with your own golfer on a console when everything is already there for it. In the announcements you could read that this is possible. Now you can see that it just doesn't work. Unfortunately, I've now spent the money and the game is basically useless to me. I can create multiple golfers under my PSN account and switch between them. That is possible. I can select a game type and add another golfer in a quick game. This works out. But then I can't add another controller or add more from the list of created golfers. That is not possible. That is completely incomprehensible. I played ea golf with my wife on the Playtation 2 for hundreds of hours in local multiplayer, you could even invite a guest with a profile in career mode. We used it extensively and loved it. Now with the Playstation 5 there are countless complex online modes, but a simple couch multiplayer with two controllers is not possible. I was looking forward to a great time with the fantastic graphics for two. It's just wasted money now. Very frustrating.

i want to be able to play local with my wife with her profile. but its not possible, will this be coming to the game? if not i will request a refund

I've just been using the trial, you can create up to four golfers within each xbox profile. However there does not seem to be any way of connecting more than one custom golfer per quick play game (stroke play) the other three players are pre-defined 'pro' players and your other custom golfers do not appear. If you switch profile (xbox) it starts a new instance of the game, which is fine if you want to play on your own or online.So unless I'm missing something - you cannot have local couch mode with individual custom profiles - which is a deal breaker for me, even 2K21 let you play locally with custom players, and what is more disappointing - previous PGA golf games allowed progression with all local custom golfers. I want to play with friends locally as them, not against pre-defined Pro golfers - sorry unless this is resolved I will not be buying this.Not sure if this is because it's a trial - but this does really surprise me that this basic feature is missing, plus the face customisation is incredibly limited, but I could have lived with that to be honest.What's worse is any of the controllers (signed in to different xbox profiles) can control any of the four players (the custom, and the three defined "pro" players) so anyone using a controller can control the player taking the shot - this cannot be right. I must be doing something wrong....or the couch co-op was thrown together and is completely unfinished - in it's current state, this game is suited mainly to online only.

That is a major bust from EA. I like the game so far to be honest, but this kills it. I regularly play with my fiancé and on the other game we could at least make a customized guest character for her to use against my player. On this game if you want to play with your character in an offline round, anyone you play with has to use a Tour Pro. On the TW games you could make multiple created players and use them H2H.

@EA_Mai @EA_Illium so you know about the extensive requests for this issue to be resolved, I really don't get why there is such lack of communication with us customers that have purchased this game where a standard feature is missing, we need words supports to resolve this issue not just saying no it doesn't work or check this chat out. I have read them all and all I see are hundreds of customers screaming out for the ability to play with their created charactor locally. Please support this case and help us drive it to development.

So my raised bugs for this continue to be deleted saying that I'm in violation of the rules.
Still no update on this, do I rasie as another bug or not? How do we get a response?

What a rip off!!!!
Bought the game recently and finally decided to update my golf game since my wife and I are still playing Tiger Woods PGA 2014 with the move controllers.
Even though there is no motion control function, we thought we would update.
Now I find out you cannot play Quick Play with 2 created golfers?!?!?!?
Every other golf game has this. Why in the world did EA decide to remove this? It is a terrible choice.
Now i have a digital game that I can't even sell the disc and get some money back. Total rip off!!!!

People complaining about the lack of this feature is LITERALLY the top google search result when searching for "PGA EA XBOX 2 PLAYER". (See attached)
Seriously, who is the product manager? I'd like to reach out on linkedin to see what the heck they are doing instead of managing the product and listening to user feedback.

So it's the same on xbox also? As I'm PS5 so didn't know if it was across all platforms so that's for confirming that is the case.
Good luck with trying to reach someone that decides to listen as I have yet to find anyone. I even stated a case direct with EA but after a brief exchange of details I have heard nothing in the last week.
And if you tag anyone on here they just put a mark against you in violation of forum rules and then delete you bug cases that you raise for it.
If you do decide to track anyone down please could you forward me the details thanks

@nicoF86 Of course not. Didn't you know their main priority with each patch is to change the game logo?

I mean, why add a feature that tons of people have expected when you can make the logo represent the current tournament going on.

Do you know what really upset me on Saturday just gone? At my mates playing Liverpool. Then out of nowhere I get a par 4 hole in 1. I was over the moon and my 2 maters speechless as all they could do after that was par it. Then I was like great can't even share it coz it's not my player so not the same. 😭😢

Having no Couch play co-op is a deal breaker for me, is this still not fixed ?
I was torn between this game and 2k23 i guess the choice is clear now.
