My wife and I created own characters and played locally againts each other in old EA Sports golf games.
The characters we created had their own look, clothing and skills and
these characters could improve their skills by performing tasks.
We could choose where to play and so on.
Is this kind of activity possible in EA Sports PGA Tour 2023?
I purchased this game a year ago in order to create avatars for my wife and myself to play together. There are now 11 patches and the option to play using two user created avatars is still absent (or at least I have not found it). I'll assume that the option for that method of play is NOT going to be included in this version even though it was in previous versions and every other golf game that I own. Is this because it is too difficult to code in or is there some other reason. If it is never to be included then I am truly sorry to have spent $70 for an unused game.

I raised so many defects against this, the who couch co-op was non existing, when wanting to use your own created characters. So very poor. I kept on in that main thread to the point where they deleted all my raised bugs and comments to then threten to ban me. Never got nasty, just wanted to game to be the game it should have been. 1yr on and still no dev in that area. It's a shame really. I wish you all the best in trying to get this feature developed. I will follow to see what progress you get.

Been a while, but was playing with my mates just the other day and we had a chuckle to how the game hasn't moved forward with local play.
A year on and I feel my mate was correct when he said they would never develop and resolve couch co-op.
@jerichtThis is crazy … why can’t we play against other players sitting in my couch? We bought this game 2 days ago thinking we could play against each other. We have to pick the custom play and then a pro player or pro vs pro. Ridiculous. EA has never had stellar customer service and I’m sure they will abandon golf again.
Ever fixed or acknowledged by EA? Why even add local coop if only one person can progress a custom made character? How hard can it be to implement that stuff?
Common EA, just slap a microtransaction on it for 1.99 and go to hell.
Nope never really been confirmed as a bug, I tri3d so very hard to get this resolved with EA, tried every avenue possible, to the point that admits on this forum just deleted another of my post along with all the bugs I submitted, here we are 1yr on and they have done nothing. It's a real shame. Me and my mates love this game, but always gutted on the coop, bearing in mind that's how we play is couch coop coz we are proper gamers, unlike online rubbish.
Absolutely the same situation here, it's "Lad's night" tonight and with 4 of us over playing local on a 100" projector screen it'll still be any other golf game because of this ridiculous omission. Just no logic behind being able to create 4 characters but only use one at a time in local multiplayer. Lazy, sloppy, and they (EA) couldn't care less.
And there was me thinking that my lad nights are good on the 85" sony haha. Such a letdown, love how everyone from the original thread still wishes it was resolved.
Drop the fix we have all wanted from day one, in time for the masters!!!! Ah there I am in dream land once again.
