My wife and I created own characters and played locally againts each other in old EA Sports golf games.
The characters we created had their own look, clothing and skills and
these characters could improve their skills by performing tasks.
We could choose where to play and so on.
Is this kind of activity possible in EA Sports PGA Tour 2023?
EA ... what a bunch of buffoons. I can't believe they don't allow for this. I really regret buying this game.
It was the only reason I bought PGA Tour 2024. Grumble grumble grumle.
We have literally stopped playing this game for this reason. My wife, son, and myself all have created characters and if we can't all play a round of golf together on the same console with each of our created players, why do we own the game? This is absolutely inexcusable. This should be the most basic of features on ANY game. If this doesn't get "fixed" I'm done with EA games. This is the absolute dumbest of omissions I have ever seen.
And another customer not happy due to the lack of couch coop with custom players. Keep moaning all. Hopefully EA finally add it, just to shut us up!!!
I too downloaded this on gamepass. So glad I didnt buy it a few months ago (I did buy 2k3 version). Tried playing EA version with my Wife and found this glaring omission too. WTF EA?? NO local multiplayer using custom golfers? Only thing we've been able to do is play one custom and a pre-defined Pro player. We've played loads of the PGA games in the past on PS2, Xbox 360, Xbox One and now Series X. This seems a really backward step not to allow it. Given the game has been out for a year, I guess this isn't geting fixed soon, but maybe EA will add it in the inevitable next version....
I bought this for me and the wife to play 2 player offline with our created golfers.. its sad that this has been overlooked! SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE FIRED FOR ALLOWING THIS TO NOT BE AN OPTION! I had sony refund my purchase because of this and will be moving on to a different game that allows it!

Downloaded PGA TOUR from game pass after playing at release when private match player selection was still broken as only the host can select a pro golfer, even now a year later it is still broken. Is there any chance of this ever getting fixed? Totally ruins trying to play friends online as we don’t want to play with 70 rated golfers and downloaded the game to play as the pros.

Congratulations: 12, count em, 12 patches and we still cannot play more than one created avatar in "couch" mode.
I expect the whole issue with using different created characters in local matches (like every other golf game ever) is down to some core programming error/oversight which can't be easily remedied or they'd have just patched it in. Because on the surface it just seems a glaring and easily solvable issue which even a company as inept as EA could quickly fix if they gave a s***.
It's like they want to alienate players from their own games - even when forced to choose "real" golfers in local multiplayer the selection is so poor and limited, it's hard to even find a good bunch of 4 fairly equally-statted choices so multiplayer is relatively fair.
