The 1st image is from WGT showing a super clear flag AND crystal clear yardage marker.
This is still lacking in the EA game as seen in the 2nd image. The yardage markers overall are very difficult see, especially when pasted up high and against the blue skies. Why is there a need to position the markers so high up?
Please consider making these two changes: Easy-to see flags and improve the yardage markers throughput the whole game.

In case it helps, for the occasions you find it had to read the current markers because of the background, bear in mind that changing the camera view may improve this.
I find it hard to see the swing meter in some scenarios. Like I can barely see where to stop my backswing. Especially if the skies are white. I never even paid attention to what you are posting about. Guess I need to play more. Which I do. LOL
I couldn't agree more with the OP. Talk about a perfect storm of bad UI decisions. The flag and yardage markers are not displayed against their own background. To make matters worse they are shown above the flag. Perhaps we should all pitch in and purchase EA a used PS3 and a copy of TW14.
