Full Mouse Control

I just read a nicely worded request at Steam for a Full Mouse Control with EA Sport PGA Tour 2023.  Literally a 3-click swing using the left mouse button. I want to play this game and will buy it again when EA incorporates Full Mouse Control.

  • You are incorrect. PC gamers normally use a mouse with a HUD for power and swing selections. Similar to this one from Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf.

So you're experienced at making cheats? Good for you...

Not everybody who wants to use a mouse wants to cheat. Get over yourself.

  • I guess I can understand them not allowing mouse click or mouse swing in online tournaments, because of the possibility of cheating (if that's the real reason it was omitted), but there's no reason why those things can't be added to the game for solo play or private multiplayer.

Then again, if EA can't be arsed to include instant replays or turn-based private multiplayer, what chance do we have at mouse swing?

lol. This game is such a disappointment, on so many levels.

  • @Noya_Wesa No, I’m experienced with policing them. A pc game I host servers for I have issued over 9,000 bans for various hacks, glitches, and cheats.

Clearly, I know what I’m talking about. If you give pc players to opportunity to cheat, they will. Cheating is common place on the pc platform.

And again nothing is proven by your very vague claim.

Has it ever occurred to you that some people might want to use a mouse because of being unable to use a controller?

Why should people have to accept a second rate experience in even career and local play modes?

You have an issue it seems that leads you to hate on the very idea of being able to use a mouse in any way, but why should your issue be a problem for people who aren't what you are trying to make them out to be, and in fact just want to enjoy the game in a more accessible way?

Well, if you are the majority, this game isn't for me I guess...

I have no idea of what your acronym means, not do I care.

Clearly you are unable to see past hard core ableism, and as such, I hold you in contempt and yet I find myself pitying you too.

  • @Noya_Wesa Nothing I said was vague, it was 100% clear. I have an extreme amount of experience that you don’t. Macro cheats and players using a mouse on pc is common place, not accepting that as fact is unreasonable. Just because you don’t want to use a controller doesn’t mean the flood gates for cheats should be open. It’s selfish and unfair.

You make an unsubstantiated claim, nothing more... That is very vague.

Are you also a doctor? Perhaps a lawyer? You see all sorts of claims online...

Also, what part of unable to use a game controller is too difficult a concept for you to grasp? Not don't want to. UNABLE! Is that loud and clear enough?

Also, what part of wanting to be able to use a mouse for career mode and other types of local play is selfish unfair in your little ableist bubble?

Let's set something straight else here too: Where did I deny that cheating can occur? That's you projecting, based on what you want everything to be about...

By the way, have you seen those sites selling modified game controllers so that people can have a better aim in their games etc? Just saying...

    Hey folks,

Thanks to those that have provided feedback on another control scheme they'd like to see implemented.

With that said, please be respectful of others' opinions and thoughts on the matter, simply because something *could* be used by cheaters does not mean that all that would use that control scheme are cheaters, nor that they are selfish for simply requesting a more friendly control scheme.

If you're encountering someone you suspect of cheating, feel free to report that using the options here and we'll take a look.

Thanks again for the feedback and to those that had kept the responses civil!
