You guys shouldn’t be seeing more backspin with finesse. Finesse shots in this game spin less and roll out more than approaches. This is why they are great into greens that slope toward you and when the wind is against you. Approaches on the other hand have more spin and are great into greens that slope away from you and when the wind is with you or if you are using a longer club (7i+).
Personally I found that the finesse shot were more there to fill the distances between clubs. Albeit was a touch less spin.
But then I have always argued I don't understand the ball/swing mechanics of this game. I have seen shots land and spin 30 feet back up a hill. And then from the same distance with the same club on the next hole stick on a green sloping back to me where you expect the ball to feed back down the hill.
I have hit perfect shots with a +/- 0 go 10 or more yards short or the same distance long, from a flat lie with no noticeable elevation change. I can only guess RNG has some factor in it but these shots are well outside the displayed circle.
Though playable the game feels broken... I wish I could disable all the aids in the game. It would be less frustrating not knowing I executed a goid shot with poor results or that a well executed shot landed so far outside the dispersion circle.
