Game Crashing after Dolby Vision logo

Game crash when it tries to connect to EA server. Tried several times. Tried running as admin didn't help. Anything else I could try ?

    Hey PGA Tour Fans, 

    Thanks for letting us know about crashing issues when first starting EA Sports PGA Tour. 

    If you are still seeing crashing issues, would it be possible to get the following information?

    I wanted to pop in here real quick and check if anyone is still noticing Stuttering on PC? 

     

    If so let us know the following.

     

    Platform:

    PSN ID/Xbox GT:

    Region:

    Are you getting an error message?

    Is anything else happening?

    How often does the bug occur?
    How can we find the bug ourselves?

    If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip...

    If on PC, please share a DxDiag

     

    Update:

    A fix was released today to address issues with EA Sports PGA Tour Crashing due to your EA App Avatar, for more information check out our post here. 

    This thread will have anyone running into that issue merged there, as this thread relates to issues with Dolby Vision.

    We had an update rollout today, meant to address a few issues. For more information check the team message here.

    I wanted to check if this was still an issue for anyone.

To turn off HDR go to Documents, PGA TOUR, shared_data, cache, 00000(folder with big number), HardwareSettings.json - right click and open with notepad,
Look fo "HDR":true, change to "HDR":false, and save.

Hi @RickS0 Does this seem to have fully resolved the issue for you?

    I tried this as well but it just automatically reverts it back to on when I open the game

      For the dolby vision issue 

      Try this, it's simple and it works great.

      I have an LG C1 OLED 48"

      Normal HDR still activates when I launch the game so the above solution does not turn it off.

      Playing fine with no issues, got 3 challenges already completed. Great game so far. Seems like a whole lot to do in the career campaign.

      Good stuff EA

      Now bring NHL on PC for crying out loud! :P

        That was the solution. Dolby Vision causes the problem.

    For black screen Dolby Vision, yes

    No Dolby Vision, no black screen.

    For crash while connecting to EA serves, no.

    I still need to disconect from internet
