@SLouis2001 I agree with you. EA does need to make the game more difficult. May I make a few suggestions to make it more realistic for you. This is how I play. First of all, I've always loved using the swing stick, but not in this game. Using the swing stick is way to easy and there is no challenge. You can't miss. I use the 3 Click method. I find it to be much more challenging because you CAN miss a shot at any time. It's much more realistic and fun and I like to draw and fade my shots a lot and I like the way 3 Click does that.
Another suggestion is don't use the Flop shot or the Pick out of a bunker. They make it way to easy. So I don't even use them.
As far as people saying to make the game harder, don't use any of the aids. I totally disagree with that. Since this is a video game, you haven't got the advantage of seeing the conditions the way they really are like you can when you're playing in real life. So the way I play is, I leave the wind on and elevation on. I also leave the putting grid on. There is no way to tell how the green breaks without it for a game.
I like it as realistic as possible, but turning off all the aids isn't the way to do it. EA needs to make the swing mechanics more sensitive so that you miss fairways or 5 foot putts once in a while.
In one of my other posts on here, I also think the ball lies in the rough, heavy rough, sand, etc... needs to be more punishing. There is hardly no difference in hitting out of the heavy rough than the fairway. A little but not much. Sometimes I don't even use the Hack shot because that seems to always make the shot 100%.
