Until the slow motion bug is fixed the game is literally unplayable. This has been fixed before and gets broken every other patch it seems. I have played 3 complete 4 game full PGA tour seasons and starting the 5th when this bug came back. I actually pulled out of a tournament because you could not judge putt speed and swing. No matter how far back you swing the ball roll is in extreme slow motion. Both human and AI. Back swing on other shots is also very slow. When this bug appears it is extremely difficult to aim and judge putt swing as the ball seems ot have a mind of its own. Cannot play a tournament until this is fixed...painful!

I have an X and have had this happen a couple times. The issue will persist through reboots of the Xbox, but it can be cleared. The way I have successfully cleared it each time is by simply playing another game title, or by hitting the x box home button, selecting ea pga tour from the active programs list and using the “quit game” option from that menu.Because of how I clear it, it makes me believe the issue is potentially associated to the quick resume function. It appears maybe cached files from a previous session are being corrupted and causing performance issues. By fully exiting the game with a quit or playing a different game, those files are getting cleared.

Had to start and quit several times but it did reset. So, the game is not working well with the Xbox Quick Resume feature and needs to be fixed by EA or MS. Now just have to deal with a ball that is overly sensitive to green slope. I had balls turn 90 degrees right at the cup with only slightly more slope than the initial part of the green. But, I know putting physics have been a topic of discussion since it was released. Appreciate the insight on how to brute force reset the game.

@dtaunton If you close out the game entirely and re-open it does it work? I've had a few times on PS5 where it felt like the swing started going slow and I just closed the game and re-opened and it was always fine.

No... the issue is always consistent on the Xbox Series X until it is fixed in a patch....and I have never used the Quick Resume feature. Always start from the main menu.

P.S. I was a technology and Software Program and Product Manager for a major company for 25 years until I retired last year. I have also been heavy into gaming since the early 70s. So, my experience weighs into my comments.

But starting from the main menu wouldn't disable quick resume. You usually have to disable it separately.

Are you shutting down your device, or do you just put it into sleep/standby mode until your next use?
Could be a memory leak causing the issue. I'm not saying it isn't software related... but I would be interested to see if this resolves the issue as a workaround.

I have never used the quick resume feature. I have seen replies in previous posts that ask if Quick Resume is being used. If you are indicating the code for Quick Resume may be contributing to the issue, I have scoured the in-game menus and do not see any setting to Enable/Disable Quick Resume. The option in the upper right corner just appears when initially launching the game.
