I have an X and have had this happen a couple times.
The issue will persist through reboots of the Xbox, but it can be cleared. The way I have successfully cleared it each time is by simply playing another game title, or by hitting the x box home button, selecting ea pga tour from the active programs list and using the “quit game” option from that menu.
Because of how I clear it, it makes me believe the issue is potentially associated to the quick resume function. It appears maybe cached files from a previous session are being corrupted and causing performance issues. By fully exiting the game with a quit or playing a different game, those files are getting cleared.
