Last night I tried playing wit the EA red ball and that definitely showed up on the course but the white ball in the HUD remained unchanged. It might be that this is the expected behaviour but it would be a nice visual improvement for the ball in the HUD to match if it is.

I agree, this is strangely annoying for me. As we can't really see the ball in play there was no real incentive to change it if the only decent view we get is the EA one in the HUD!
