I found a solution that worked for me :
Open steam and go to library
Right click on EA SPORTS PGA TOUR
Go to properties
Click on controller
And a drop down will appear and select the option "disable steam input"

UPDATE:
This ONLY works when the PS54 controller is plugged in and not when connected via bluetooth. Maybe EA can add an option to show PS icons in the settings in-game??
Need to turn off all controller support in Steam as it will convert the wireless DS5 to a virtual 360.
Does this show PS5 icons when connected via Bluetooth though?
