I would agree that this challenge is ridiculous. This is one of the Under Armour Sponsor Challenges. 2nd group; listed as UA ISO. 5 shots from each of 3 bunkers. All 15 shots need to be within 5 ft of hole for 3 stars. Some of the bunker shots are lengthy. Most shots I’ve consecutively hit within 5 ft is 4. I’ve since upgraded the Spec on my wedges with a Legendary Spec, which upgrades all attributes. I’ve also changed swing difficulty from hard back to easy for the sake of completing this challenge, however, it doesn’t seem possible. The direction of the ball flying out of bunker seems randomized. Spent a large chunk of time experimenting with the two shot types offered as well (blast and I forgot the other one) Ridiculously hard. Anytime a shot lands outside of 5 ft, I end up restarting the challenge. Curious to see how many have actually attained 3 stars on this challenge. Please adjust challenge and make it easier

Where would I find this specific challenge to have a look, and what are you defining as 'fully maxed out' here? There certainly are shots in the game where it's possible to repeatedly get within 5' even with the random element but the specifics will matter here.

By "fully maxxed out" I mean having full points in the accuracy, control, etc. for the relevant challenge. In this case it is hitting the ball from the bunker.And no, you are perfectly incorrect. It is not possible to hit it within 5 yards 15 times in a row. The RNG variance that is built into EA's engine does not allow that to happen. At some point before 15 it will send a ball around 7-8 yards regardless of player skill.

Please note I didn't say the specific shot you were attempting was possible to always get inside 5' (feet not yards), but rather that this is possible for some shots in the game. There are absolutely shots with a dispersion zone of less that 5' radius even for me playing with no spec upgrades. I asked where your specific challenge was to get a better idea of what you were actually dealing with...If you want to convince a game dev that what you're attempting truly is impossible I think it would be helpful if you could state exactly what skill and spec upgrades you are using because without this there will always be questions in this regard. You haven't mentioned shot type or specs at all, and the latter could make a big difference if you've not considered this.You may well be right that the challenge is impossible but I'm just asking questions to try to see if you can help prove this, to increase the chances of anything being done about this if there really is an issue.

@tbizzo21Thanks. It will definitely be a gold level pick that is best in shot terms, and maximising the short game recovery skill is what will minimise the dispersion zone size I believe. I have gold pick and short game recovery 8 and the dispersion zone is definitely too big to reliably hit inside 5' (with a 64° wedge), but I don't have a spec upgrade to help. Not sure what difference a legendary wedge recovery spec might make...Edit: actually short game accuracy is probably important too. It's a shame there is a 'cost' to retraining skills so it's not easy to quickly check.

I use the right stick for my swing so I have to use L1 to control the amount of spin and then use the right stick to control the direction of the spin. I don't know specifically how it works when using the left stick, but I assume that A or L1 will add spin and the left or right stick should be used to control the spin direction. The other stick will should allow you to adjust the camera angle. In order to enable spin, make sure that you aren't playing on tour or sim settings and that spin control is set to 'on' in the game settings. If you still have problems I can try it out myself and see if it works properly later.

It's frustrating if post-shot spin really is required to complete this as a lot of players will be playing the game with no intention of ever using this. I do.

The challenge is a bug, why is no one from EA responding and addressing it as such? There is no other challenge where the number of required shots isn’t tiered, ie all shots from 15’, 7 shots from 10’, 5 shots from 5’. The developers were lazy and missed this, just get it corrected please.

I actually just completed this challenge the other morning, after quite a few frustrating attempts. I did unfortunately have to utilize the post-shot spin control, and even with that it was still a chore.

Just tried this Challenge. I believe it is possible. My first time doing it I got 14 of the 15 within 5' the 11th shot I missed by a little bit over a foot at 6' 4" and dialed it in so I still got 2 stars, but I think 1 or 2 more tries and I will get 3 stars. I used pick (gold) as I have more control with it. Blast will put you all over the green. For short game I am 7 on Accuracy, 10 on Control and 8 on Recovery. I am also have Jordan's Wedges and Justin's Ball specs. Placed shots about 2 yards short of hole and tapped (A XBox) spin about 8 times to get make up for any miss hits. I'm not on UA yet. Still working on Callaway. I completed all 189 in Coaching Academy and working my way through the sponsors. I agree al 15 is excessive but they are called challenges for a reason. Hope that helps.

I threw it on arcade mode and completed it on my 5th attempt. That spin control is everything lol welp, back to tour difficulty again after this.

I was in the same position as you. I was battling this challenge ready to throw my controller through the TV. I listened to the other guys, put it on arcade mode, played the pick shot and spun it to the hole. Doing that i got it first try. So frustrating.
