Inconsistencies of shots

Reading greens is near impossible the moving lines are wrong 50% of the time. Some greens are faster uphill then downhill. Wth EA do your devs have no shame?
The core shot mechanic isn't 'broken' but you do need to understand how things work. There is a deliberate random element to shot outcomes but this is significantly reduced as the player spends skill points and applies 'specs' to improve their golfer. Don't judge the game just on the base character performance.
An issue with the direction the beads on the green grid move in some situations has been acknowledged and is being fixed:

@Ultrasonic_77Exactly my point. A random element in a game where you adjust for many variables just to have a random outcome is broken..
There is a random element, reducing the significance of which is a significant gameplay mechanic. I agree that my gut reaction is to be against any random element at all but it doesn't feel as bad as I'd first feared once you've developed your character a bit as I referred to above. If you can't accept this then the game isn't for you but overwhelmingly people who give the game a chance seem to end up enjoying it.
By saying the game isn't broken I was making the point that the game was behaving as intended, rather than this being something you should be expecting to see 'fixed' I'm afraid.
I'm not sure specs should matter that much. Yesterday I hit a tee shot that showed the line going perfectly straight through the centre of the ball, club speed as perfect and backswing 0.7% short. That shot violently shanked 100 yards to the right and ended up in the water, rather than the left edge of the fairway where I was aiming. This happens multiple times every 18 holes.
In real life you don't shank a ball you hit basically perfectly. That isnt how physics works. If I shanked it fair enough, but to hit a ball perfectly straight only for it to shank violently 100 yards from its target just isn't right.
I don't like it either, and probably the main reason why most have stopped playing the game. Some Simmers want even MORE random, but even some of them hate it. When I started a second golfer, it reminded me how bad it was, the feeling it doesn't matter what you're doing, the game is taking over and sending the ball wherever it wants. Lots of Arcade players left, and 3 clickers too.

@Designated_Dave2The blue swing line that swings Back and fourth you have to click when it's in the middle. If you click left or right of the middle it goes off your trajectory.
That blue swing line is highly inaccurate especially in Wolf Creek. When I first played, I thought it was going to be like the line in TW14, but it was so off. It improved when I got the legendary specs. When I created a second golfer to join alternate tournament, I saw how bad it was. For 3-clickers like me, the line is even worse. I needed to aim towards the rough or sand to actually get the ball to the green. It's sad that the OP was a year ago, and nothing has changed. Just reminds me of the entire lyrics of the Who song, "We Don't Get Fooled Again".

I just don’t see this behavior in game. Heck even when I created new toons with no stats and level 1 and gave them my old specs, I didn’t see this sort of inaccuracy…. I could still shoot -10+ in tour mode.
some of yall are just playing a different game than me.
