Inconsistencies of shots
How was this game released with the shot mechanics so broken? You can line up a shot and hit it the same way and the ball lands 20 yards away from the same shot set up. Reading greens is near impossi...
@PalomaMarvel24If they do come out with a new version for sale I would not buy it unless they heavley push they have removed RNG. It took me like 4 months to feel half-way comfortable.
Couldn't agree more. I bought this when it first released. I was in these forums constantly. I love golf games and really wanted to enjoy this one but couldn't get down with the RNG. The game is highly inconsistent. Wind, level, rough, etc matter but when you hit a drive perfectly straight with no extra power and zero wind influence and it "somehow" goes 20 yards off track...makes absolutely zero sense. ESPECIALLY in the challenges, oh man that is infuriating.
I actually stopped coming to this forum cuz nothing was being fixed really. I only started playing the game again within the last 2-3 weeks...and here I am again complaining about inconsistencies that were never fixed. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be investing anymore money into these golf games.
Also, when it first released this forum was a tad ridiculous. If someone didn't agree with you it wasn't just, "I don't agree". It was YOU ARE WRONG and there were a certain group of folks that dang near bullied people, tell them to stop playing, that the other person was bad at the game, etc. Of course since I don't back down we would usually all get a warning or have posts deleted 😂

OMG. I remembered those times and I remembered those gamers making the nasty “play better” posts. They were even praising the Notorious Update 3. When RNG got even stronger from later updates, these gamers joined the chorus of complaints. By update 6, I don’t see them in the forum.

I’m certainly not bullying people, but I don’t understand the complaints about RNG as I don’t experience this in game. People (including myself) are shooting -18 to -25 consistently in 18 hole tournaments. This doesn’t happen if people aren’t putting the ball within 15 feet or less on every single hole.

You certainly have strong opinions, but I wouldn't say you are bullying anyone.
Not that I play this game anymore but I always found there was significantly less RNG if you stayed out of the overswing area. Which makes total sense to me.
The game has a lot of issues, but being difficult to score low isn't one of them
From what I’ve experienced, the way you configure your skills has a definite impact on RNG. I have a player set up as follows:
driving power level 4
driving accuracy level 10 (max)
driving control level 10
approach accuracy. Level 10
approach control level 9
approach recovery level 9
short game accuracy level 10
short game accuracy level 10
short game recovery level 9
putting level 9
at this power level power drive and power approach are not available.
With these settings, by utilizing specs that aid control and accuracy, and by staying away from overswings, RNG is reduced substantially; not eliminated but close. Essentially i find it a non-issue.
I have another player with enough power to have power drive and power approach, but the RNG is a greater and border line problematic.i can’t drive quite as long as the big guns, but I’m not 30 yards behind.
Not sure, but increasing the control level on all shot types seems to make the most difference. Bottom line is that you CAN influence performance by adjusting skills and specs.
From what I’ve witnessed in online play, most people seem to want to max out power to hit 350(ish) yard drives. You can only get sufficient power to do that by sacrificing accuracy and control values. Initially I had a player with max power and the RNG was insane; I had the same experiences that I’ve seen others post on this forum.
it’s up to each player how much pain you can stand in exchange for power.
Notwithstanding, i don’t think there should be RNG at all for Arcade play. I don’t play that myself, but did on TW14 and when you are in that mode, you want no deviation; you’re trying to shoot birdies/eagles on every hole. Arcade players should not have to deal with randomness. probably this should go for pro also.
