I agree somewhat with you there, some wants a course creator and other settings in 2K23. Probably never going to happen. But there are also others who just always want the perfect sim golf game. And they will never be happy since it's never going to be perfect enough. Perfect Golf was the perfection of perfect and somehow not perfect enough for those complaining all the time.

I agree with the comment. It was the people who want the perfect sim game that ruined the experience by making game more difficult for everyone else. Yet they are still not satisfied. One big example is they made the bug report to change lipout physics in Update 3.0 with the addition of enhanced RNG. Before Update 3.0, I preferred current EA PGA Tour over 2K23. After Update 3.0, all bets were off because the people who wanted the perfect sim imposed their preferences on arcade gamers like me. I probably would have never posted anything about 2K23 if Update 3.0 never happened. The sad part is the perfect sim players joined the chorus of unhappy arcade players for the change they requested in the first place. I liked TW14 because it was the best arcade game, even better than 2K23.

Okay... I have to disagree with you here. This game was packaged and promoted as a golf simulation. That the game would play like you were on the PGA Tour making the same decisions from the fairway as the pros.
And we paid AAA prices for this privilege.
This game is far from providing a sim experience... and is much closer to an arcade game. At best you could call it simcade.
So in my opinion... it is the people that expected a more realistic experience that got the short end of this stick.
But as I have always said I don't know why EA couldn't have catered to both crowds. It would have been pretty easy to add a few toggles to enable/disable features to change the difficulty of the game.
This game arrived broken for both the arcade and sim player. We just have people here pointing fingers... where the blame is squarely on EA.

I agree that game is broken for both Sim and Arcade players. I support Simmers having their options. I just wished they also requested ways to turn on/off their options so EA could have gotten the right signals. Unfortunately the request for the simmers did not get the request to turn on/off their options. EA got the wrong signal and implemented this caca known as the Notorious Update Three. EA made a huge miscalculation on that update. My biggest regret is that I did not trade in the current game right after the Notorious Update 3 so I could have a trade value 50 to 67% of the original price at GameStop. With that credit, that could cover the price for the Pink Diamond Giannis Antetokounmpo Card in NBA 2K24 MyTeam.
