The current game has been poorly done with the putting physics and RNG. Most of my post compares current game with Tiger Woods 14 since that actually was the last great golf game I played. TW14 is way better than EA PGA Tour and 2K23.
Here are features of TW14 not in current game.
1) Options to change wind speed, weather and flag position.
2) Having 5 difficulty levels instead of 4.
3) More arcade feel.
4) Being able to max out attributes.
5) Photo Gameface and vocal controls for created golfer.
6) Non Rotating Store. All items and clubs are in store.
7) Larger roster than current game.
8) Ability to hit the green with a long approach shot using 3-iron or 4-iron. In current game, the ball goes off the green by miles.
9) No RNG.
10) More clothing options for created golfers.
11) More accurate putt preview.
EA has intellectual property for TW14 and the other games from TW series. I am very disappointed none of them were added to current game. If you want my opinion comparing TW14 to 2K23, here is my response: TW14 is far superior than 2K23. Current EA PGA Tour just failed to use TW14 as the winning template.
@PalomaMarvel24 In reply to your point no. 8 about hitting a 3 or 4 iron to the green, I have been able to do so and stop the ball from rolling off the green. I have have my golfer set at hitting high trajectory shots and have iron specs that give me more control as well as shaping my shots to take advantage of any green slopes. It seems to work on quite a few courses depending on conditions.
I agree with you that the other options would add to the game and only hope by repeatedly requesting them will make the devs more acutely aware of the potential of improving the game.

I mean they literally made every aspect of tour difficulty mode harder. Kind of insane. I can understand making players adjust for wind, or making rough and sand zap yardage. but i mean they changed every aspect of the game to the point I stopped playing it now, chalked up an 80 dollar loss to a company I will never purchase anything form again. I play 2k23 now I got for $15 on sale, and what they have is a match maker rating system and ranking ladder, and 3 click and crossplay. I mean, EA sports finally came back to the pc after 15 years and it turned out to be nothing more than a cash grab, and probably one of their golden parachutes out of the business.
