This Pro Pass ends tomorrow, so we're getting the update Tuesday. We could get some info from EA tomorrow of what's in the patch. But somehow there's no money to be made in this game for EA except for the premium Pro Pass. No marketing, no ads...

I'm not really surprised by the lack of news - usually we don't hear anything until the patch notes come out the night before the update. I suppose maybe it's unusual that the anniversary of the game has had zero attempt at building excitement.
Yeah, the Pro Pass season ends prior to Tuesday. For some reason, I thought maybe they'd adjust this update a bit to get it in line with one week before the Masters. Then again, the Par-3 contest is the following Wednesday, so maybe it will still be Tuesday again.
I do seem to recall they were pretty early with some of the patch notes. For patch 9.0, they announced the patch details several days before it actually came out - the patch notes were released Nov. 17, and the patch itself dropped Nov. 21.

- @sroel908 Thank you for the clarification. I completely missed that one. I thought EA would return to a Female Career mode similar to TW14. I feel like the contestant who messed up the final Q&A in the Miss Universe Pageant.
I wonder if there's any significance to him waiting to start a new career mode series with a new male golfer...
It probably isn't a substantial change to the career itself otherwise he wouldn't start a female character career one week before the update.

Even ApexHound could find only one female good enough to use for his career mode. Just about everybody is using the same female avatar because it's the only decent one if you're white.
@lolwhat1234I wondered that, too...a par-3 course addition hardly seemed like a reason to start a new career up again with a new male character. The way he worded it when he said he was going to start a new male character career did make it seem like something will be updated that is worth a career reset...at least that's how I interpreted his comment about "you'll see why".
Maybe it's what some of us have talked about in the past, the other courses for the Majors this year will come to the game. Or maybe, wishful thinking, even more courses than that.
- @sroel908 It would be nice if they added reasons to actually play career mode again, but I can't think of anything good that would cause that for me. I played career mode the first week the game came out and haven't played it one time since April 10th or so of 2023. I mainly hope that they fix the foursomes/match play issues as well as the scoring problems associated with those modes. Matches don't count half the time and disconnects happen so often because of peer to peer issues that have existed since the update after the Ryder Cup. Hopefully we get patch notes tomorrow.

It is ironic I also used the same female avatar; I can only adjust the eye and hair color. It is also surprising that a game more than 10 years ago in TW14 has a far wider selection; players can include their own faces in the avatar.
10 years later WWE 2K24 is now the gold standard for character creation. I am also playing MLB the Show 24 and its female avatar creator is amazing; the Taylor Swift hairdo is even available. If EA PGA Tour could have at least the character creation of EA FC 24 or UFC 5, this game can attract more players.
