Missing features in PGA Tour
I’m trying to understand and be patient but I’m literally fed up! How did EA manage to make the most anti social video game of the 20th century.
No microphones in competitive. Why? All previou...

Can you elaborate on this further? I get it that you’re absolutely raging about some features not being included in the game but you keep referring to ‘bugs’… what exactly is happening in the game that can lead you to claim the game is riddled with bugs?
im now on my 3rd season in career mode and aside from the odd putt not reading properly here and there and a couple of weird camera angles (that can often be combatted by adjusting your view) I’m just not seeing anything that can be considered a glitch or bug or coding error.
The key to forwarding concerns about something is to remain level headed and keep your tone balanced, otherwise anything you say just comes across as lacking credibility. I know this is a forum whereby everything has to go in the deep end with emotions and the more you can rage about something the more cheerleading you can hope to receive from likeminded people, but in the real world it’s just not a serious and adult way of approaching a subject.

@theycagednon- Menu freezing, camera angle when close to objects, incorrect green reads, disconnects from online matches, disconnects from online tournaments after spending in game currency, career mode freezing at a certain point making it unplayable, player freezing when taking a quick putt, swing delay, triple bogey cap.
That’s off the top of my head, scan the forums mate. I think there are 250+ posts on bugs.
In relation to your point about being emotional etc the bottom line is they have charged £90 for something that is half finished. In any other scenario would you pay the full asking price for something this undercooked?
I've had the player freezing when making a putt. Solution is to not rush your last short putt on the hole. This started for me after the last patch.
The only incorrect green reads I've had is the putt line showing where your ball goes. So I try to focus more on the actual grid and ignore that unless i have no idea where its gonna go, you can also just turn that off. Its off in online competitive mode.
I've never disconnected from anything mid game, but the game has crashed on me once while in the menus, or right before or after a match a couple times. But never during a round and I have 100s played. . One thing that really helped me was lowering my video resolution which got rid of the stuttering as well.
Took me a while to figure out to change camera angle when it was blocked by objects lol. now that I know that its no longer a big deal
The swing delay is just something I got used to it could be intentional unless I'm confused about what you are referring to?
The Triple Bogey Cap is only an issue for me in online games because there is a shot clock that is not visible to players. So what happens is if you take too long you get an automatic triple bogey on the hole. This is driving me nuts and definitely something they should fix by adding a shot clock for players to reference and to keep things fair.
But again, I don't see any of this meaning the game is riddled with bugs. I have seen way worse releases in my time, these issues are very minor.

I’ve not had any of the freezes aside from one night when they put an announcement out about it, but I’m also not playing online until they add the stuff I want them to.
The putting issues, since I’ve levelled up to 47 and got 5 bars full on the skills section for putting, I’ve seen hardly any issues at all with it, the odd one here and there. But then it’s a simulated golf game, the worlds top players get misreads all the time irl so I’m more than happy to deal with some on the game.
The triple bogey thing again isn’t a bug, it’s just a feature, and let’s be honest how many times do we actually see it? I think I did it about 3 times in week one, nowadays I’m lucky if I hit a double bogey once a week.
the camera angle I just move to vertical as a workaround, and I’m guessing that’s the exact type of thing they will patch in over time, but given the amount of objects around the greens etc the testing process for such a fix will be huge (I do system testing for a living, the thought of doing it for a video game makes me cringe).
To give you an example of an actual game interfering, annoying bug. I fired up Forza Horizon this week (game with far bigger budget and dev team than EA) and they have done an update. The game was putting my car in reverse gear on the grid so when I set off I was going backwards when everyone else was going forwards. It kinda puts a camera angle on a golf shot into perspective.
Just to add for the swing, I have an old habit of letting the player ‘settle’ before swinging and it seems to work much better, I.e. wait until they stop wiggling the club head and shuffling their feet. Both on normal shots and putts.
