Missing features in PGA Tour
I’m trying to understand and be patient but I’m literally fed up! How did EA manage to make the most anti social video game of the 20th century.
No microphones in competitive. Why? All previou...
Just to add for the swing, I have an old habit of letting the player ‘settle’ before swinging and it seems to work much better, I.e. wait until they stop wiggling the club head and shuffling their feet. Both on normal shots and putts.
Yeah, it’s been a very mixed crowd on this topic. Lotta haters disagreed with me, but it’s nice to see people that do agree with me although I didn’t even write this taken and other people could reply or would reply. I just wanted some way to possibly have so many EA see some point of views that need to be addressed. I mean honestly I wouldn’t care if the game is in the state right now if I only paid let’s say 40 bucks for it on steam but if it’s not gonna be a full complete game till October November, I would’ve just waited and purchased a game for 40 bucks and had a complete game because it’s going to go on sale. Just as 2k dropped in price like crazy on steam. I don’t mind. Paying full price to support the devs if it’s a full complete game, I don’t mind bugs I’m not naïve I know there’s gonna be bugs on release but the amount of stuff that is missing on this day makes it the loneliest and most depressing game unless you like playing single player only. Fact

I can't disagree with your fact.

@theycagednonI understand your post but all you’re trying to do is justify the glitchy game mechanics and how to get around them?
As for the triple bogey limit, in my opinion, that’s absolutely farcical. Imagine if there was a 5 goal limit on FIFA?
I have never played forza so can’t comment on your experience but that doesn’t make it ok for them to release something so half baked. You seem to love the game and that’s fine, I enjoy it too, but they have taken a lot of criticism with this release (fair criticism) and you’re forgetting they have an awful track record patching their games.
The communication is poor, nobody knows what they are actually working on, it’s like some super secret operation. The next patch is make or break for this game.
Im not justifying anything, im providing some balanced perspective to what is largely just ranting. Golfers settling over the ball is a real thing in real golf, so why not just wait that extra second before swinging the club, are you that pressed for time?
As for taking a lot of criticism, what you need to understand about forums like Reddit and this website, this doesn't represent in any way, shape or form the overall user base. These places are echo chambers for complaints, they always have been and they always will be. The trouble is, the people doing the complaining are so wrapped up in their little world they think they speak for the masses, when in fact they are speaking as a tiny minority of the people who purchased the game.
This applies for literally any item or service whereby there is a means for people to voice their opinion about it on the internet, from Restaurants to USB sticks.
What you also need to consider, lots of people who might consider joining this forum, take a look at the first page of threads and say 'absolutely not'... i stated previously that this forum will be an online no go area within 6 months, the pace at which its descending into negativity, its more like 3. I know i personally wont be visiting here for much longer, there is nothing of use here, and nobody really worth interacting with.... so keep ranting, you'll soon be here amongst nothing other than likeminded people spamming into the void.

Poor communication ?? The game is 1 month old and they already answer to the community feedback and did 2 patch ... I play the game a lot and I never experienced any bugs except in a playoff. I agree that the triple bogey limit is weird and that it has to be change but it's not a bug and for real how many triple bogey you make to find this very important ?

My friend you talking about a franchise that hasn't been on the pc for 15 years...lol I'm trying to be tame because I'm grateful we have a game after all these years and I really enjoy playing it and want to see improved developments. But at the same time you can't just disregard the complaints. As you said though there is a big difference between minor bugs versus feature requests. IMO the latter is more important. Most people who complain about bugs are haters though, you're not entirely wrong lol.
I want to love this game but honestly it just made me buy 2k23 yesterday. My character is maxed out, I got all the club variants. There’s nothing left to do now. No clubs, no voice chat. It’s sad. The concurrent player base on 2k is 4 times more to date. Voice client, crossplay. Those 2 things are not suggestions or later requirements. It’s 2023, that should be standard. Best of luck to EA fans but if this game can’t surpass 250 million yearly like golf clash does why would EA continue. It’s a business not fan fair. If it don’t make revenue it don’t make sense. Good luck guys.

2k23 doesn't have as sporting a feel with the graphics and play control imo. This game feels more like the old tiger woods games which is what I prefer.
You have to go in with the expectation with any EA game on release that it will likely be half functioning as intended or fully broken and know that EA will likely not fix anything if it’s in a game mode that cannot be monetized. If you’re comfortable with the above then I don’t see what is wrong with supporting this company. The fact is that every EA sports title of 23 had bugs from day one that were still there the next year when they released the next round of sports titles which if anything is just consistency for all of the wrong reasons. So as consumers we should simply have low expectations when it comes to buying products from this company because if you buy something and expect the product not to be fully functional, it’s hard to be disappointed.
