money making
you (EA) seriously need to add some kind of money makers in the game outside of the daily/weekly/seasonal tournaments, I, personally, am sick and tired of doing these. the cost to enter isn't worth...

I haven't played in a long time, but I cannot ever remember not winning something.
The point however is that winning is not a right of passage. If you are NOT competitive in some tournaments save your money for those where you are.
EA could do a lot of things to improve this game. This complaint in my opinion isn't one of them.

So, the fact that many PC players cannot accrue coins or tickets is not a problem ?
And there was me thinking EA wanted people to play this game.
I think there should be a reward for winning tournaments in career mode.
I play 4 rounds and feel the top 3 players should be rewarded something.
Maybe..
1) 5000
2) 2500
3) 1500
Just feels a little hollow without a reward when you win.

I feel the same way, it's like game over and nothing to play for.

I think I implied feeling entitled to be rewarded for just participating in an event is the problem. Not everyone gets to win... it's unfortunate but it is how life is.
But if you feel people should be rewarded for just participating... why would you be required to submit an entry fee?
If that is what we are asking for... just pay us for completing a round of golf. Actually maybe that will encourage people not to quit mid round during online play.
Hmm... now that is an idea... prior to allowing someone to play online matches you need to have $1000 VC in your account, if you don't finish it is deducted from your account.

I am currently S ranked 1 for tournaments on PC (last I saw) and S ranked 2 overall. I am a decent player and know how to play the game. I also know other top PC players who cannot accrue coins or tickets and it makes tournament play a bind when you are having to restrict what you do because you don't have enough currency.
I am a tournament player first and foremost, always have been and I just want to play golf. The current structure strangles both of those things and I personally feel that the way things are, I am prevented from just getting on and playing.
If that is how EA want it, they should say so and watch as the PC side of the game dies its inevitable death.

I think we both come come up with a good list of things that would drastically improve EA’s game. The chances of them even listening unfortunately are about the same as me winning the Masters… the actual Masters 😆

I agree that neither game is perfect, and EA's career mode is pretty good overall. It neuters it because of the poor gameplay.
If EA made 3 simply changes I think it would make a world of difference for me personally.
Allow me to remove whatever I want from the main screen... ie. aiming reticule, swing/timing meter, minimize the RNG a bit, and allow me to set these features in a private room for all players... it would go a long way to making the game more playable.
As it is... no one I play with online is willing to play EA anymore. This has been the case for months... I can count on 1 hand the number of times since owning the game that I have been able to get a 4some together.
Pretty much everyone I know has deleted EA from their system. I will still get asked what's changed on every update... but there is no interest as of yet to even check out updates.
I am back to playing 2K23 exclusively again, except when I review what is new in a patch.
I agree 2K is not perfect... but as you said it plays closer to actual golf. Especially if you play on LEGEND settings.
@ELF014 We’re definitely on the same page here. While 2K isn’t perfect either, it’s closer to proper golf. I do indeed play 2K on Legend settings and find myself getting immersed in it like on the real course, fist pumping every birdie and eagle and swearing with every dropped shot 😆
If EA just made the changes we’ve talked about a lot, 2K would have a huge problem. On the flip side, imagine if 2K brought out their next game with equally needed/requested improvements, licenced majors, better swing animations and speeds and other things we’ve mentioned, it’d end EA.
I last played EA’s game last week, reset career mode, turned difficulty up to the maximum, played til the first PGA event, no specs, minimal skill points and I didn’t have to play the last round at La Quinta, I was THAT far ahead. I’m not THAT good but it’d get silly if I used skill points and specs, so I just got thru the last round, nonchalantly shot -3 and turned it off 😆
