money making

you (EA) seriously need to add some kind of money makers in the game outside of the daily/weekly/seasonal tournaments, I, personally, am sick and tired of doing these.

the cost to enter isn't worth the reward as the cost to enter every daily tournament is 7k x 7 days equals 49k for the week, so if someone plays ALL the weeklies, but doesn't place even close to a "winning score" they may miss out on being able to enter more daily tournaments due to you (EA) making the ability to make money almost impossible.... great job (EA)

I would be interested if they got the EXCLUSIVE rights... or just the rights? Both games are using PGA branding.

EA SPORTS PGA TOUR is the exclusive home for all four major tournaments including the Masters Tournament, the PGA Championship, U.S. Open Championship, and The Open Championship.

It sure looks like EA has exclusive rights and 2K can't have those. Just like 2K has exclusive rights to Tiger, so much we don't even see him on the leaderboard for this game.

Good to know... but this has never kept the courses from appearing in 2K... they just don't have the title and I'm fine with that.

As for Tiger I could care less about having him on the cover of a game or on the Leaderboard. I mean really if he was on the Leaderboard where do you expect to see him?

I was just saying 2K has exclusive rights to Tiger, I couldn't care less he's in this game or not. Same for Rory who is nowhere in this game. Sometime I wonder why you're always coming back here since you hate this game so much. It's never going to get much better than it is now for a sim player and it's always going to be too easy for you. If you want a challenge, this is never going to be the game for you.

I think there should be a reward for winning tournaments in career mode.

I play 4 rounds and feel the top 3 players should be rewarded something.

    Maybe..

    1) 5000

    2) 2500

    3) 1500

Just feels a little hollow without a reward when you win.

I agree that the rewards can be hallow given 4 rounds. Getting small payouts for 4 rounds just goes nowhere. I can provide examples of other games that give super payouts.

AEW Fight Forever gives 18,000 per match victory. If you complete any challenges, the payout ranges from 5000 to 10000 VC. NBA 2K24 is another game that has super payouts. For winning a single game (not 4 rounds) it is 5000 coins. Their agendas (their version of Daily Weekly Quest) can have rewards ranging from 100 coins to 50000 coins. For the weekend, I can earn 50000 coins if I score 23 points with Michael Jordan. I can earn another 50000 by having Carmelo Anthony hit 7 threes, and another 50000 coins for having Tim Duncan have a double double. The reason for the high rewards is that they are the featured players for the season.

Going back to EA PGA Tour, it would be awesome if the payout is 5000 per round and 20000 for entire tournament. For Majors, the payout should double. Similar to NBA 2K24, it would be nice if there is a featured player you can earn many coins. For example, if you can Replicate Xander Schaffale's round at the US Open in any mode, you can earn 50,000 coins. This is one way participation can increase in current game.

I don't hate the game... I'm just really disappointed in what we received from what was promised.

The reason I keep coming back is that I'm hoping that they are doing what they say. That they are keeping a pulse on the community to see what we want. And to stay updated, in case some changes are on the horizon.

If they would STOP the random swinging landing more people might return. People got tired of doing everything perfect and still miss landing by 10 or 20 yards. IMHO

Well if they listen and act on to all the complaints of Raging Saint, they won't have much time for anybody else. 🤔

I agree to some of them like improving the putting, money making, and removing the RNG. If they listen and act on all complaints, it might be like the year 2525 where there would be less content like missing the Evian and the SIM tournaments. That would be scary. There were complaints made by others that got listened and acted on such as the lip-outs on update 3.0; that change totally went sideways and ruined the whole experience. If the gameplay was left alone to how it was during launch, I would still be playing this game.

I haven't played in a long time, but I cannot ever remember not winning something.

The point however is that winning is not a right of passage. If you are NOT competitive in some tournaments save your money for those where you are.

EA could do a lot of things to improve this game. This complaint in my opinion isn't one of them.

So, the fact that many PC players cannot accrue coins or tickets is not a problem ?

And there was me thinking EA wanted people to play this game.

Did I say not being able to accure coins or tickets wasn't an issue?

I think I implied feeling entitled to be rewarded for just participating in an event is the problem. Not everyone gets to win... it's unfortunate but it is how life is.

But if you feel people should be rewarded for just participating... why would you be required to submit an entry fee?

If that is what we are asking for... just pay us for completing a round of golf. Actually maybe that will encourage people not to quit mid round during online play.

Hmm... now that is an idea... prior to allowing someone to play online matches you need to have $1000 VC in your account, if you don't finish it is deducted from your account.

I am currently S ranked 1 for tournaments on PC (last I saw) and S ranked 2 overall. I am a decent player and know how to play the game. I also know other top PC players who cannot accrue coins or tickets and it makes tournament play a bind when you are having to restrict what you do because you don't have enough currency.

I am a tournament player first and foremost, always have been and I just want to play golf. The current structure strangles both of those things and I personally feel that the way things are, I am prevented from just getting on and playing.

If that is how EA want it, they should say so and watch as the PC side of the game dies its inevitable death.

@BlackCat09522 I never said you couldn't play the game. The game is ridiculously easy, and it appears the next patch is going to make things even easier.

The game is already dying and has been for months, mostly because of it's gameplay, bugs, lack of content... and a myriad of other reasons.

The community here has been pretty vocal about what we believe the issues are, but those in charge know better and user base continues to diminish.

I don't think the PC demographic was ever going to be the major player for this franchise. I don't have numbers but intuitively I would guess Sports Games are dominated by console sales.

If this franchise is going to thrive they need to take stock and get this game back on the rails. It appears pretty obvious that while there might be a market for an arcade golf game, the demographic is not large enough to support it alone.
