Hi @EA_Illium,
Instead of answering all these questions (even if the answer is NO to all of them) and doing all these tests, I just did another test that also answers all these questions in a better way. I have another complete PC in the household with which I now tested the following:
1. I replaced the hard drive with an emtpy formatted hard drive (which I had as a spare)
2. I freshly installed Windows 10 Pro
3. I installed Steam
4. I installed EA Sports PGA Tour in Steam
5. I press PLAY in Steam and then the EA app is installed and then the game starts
Please note that I have not changed a single setting in either Windows or Steam or installed anything else. I have only done what I write. The mouse pointer is still in the center of the screen all the time in exactly the same way even if I navigate around with the keyboard.
6. I exit the game
7. I disable overlays both in Steam and in the EA app
8. I restart the game
The mouse pointer is still there...
9. I exit the game
10. I plug in the bluetooth adapter and pair my Xbox controller
11. I restart the game
The mouse pointer is still there even if I navigate with the controller, and the game knows that I have an Xbox controller because I see Xbox buttons in the menu options.
Thanks to this test, it answers all your questions. The test was performed on a completely different setup, and there are no accessories connected to the computer beyond a standard mouse and keyboard. And there is not a single program or driver installed that can conflict with the game. I dare say that this is a bug that affects EVERYONE with a Windows PC who bought the game via Steam and has an Xbox controller. I only know one friend who also has this game and he has the exact same problem, I have no one else to ask. If no one here can confirm the opposite? Or how do you @EA_Illium explain this?
Is it somehow possible to test the game for free directly in the EA app in Windows? In that case, I can do the exact same test again (format, and so on) but without the step of installing Steam, and then rule out the behaivor being Steam related.
Thanks in advance...

Hi @CanukWolf,
Thank you so much for confirming that I am far from alone so that there is nothing wrong with my particular setup/softwares/settings. Unfortunately, it is not as easy for me as it seems to be for you to just move the mouse pointer to the side only once. My mouse pointer re-centers repeatedly if I play for a while. So annoying! But of course not life-changing.
It also wouldn't have been a big deal if only the mouse pointer was shown, the problem is that the menu constantly makes active choices depending on where it is as I show in my screen recording.
@EA_Illium, can you confirm you can reproduce this error/bug and maybe work on a fix?
Just force the mouse pointer to be hidden/disabled in the game (until you move the mouse) if controller inputs are detected should be an easy fix. Thanks in advance.

Yes i have the same issue.
BTW this seems to be a general issue, had the same, in Fifa 23.
Seems like EA doesn't get their thing right on PC.
And also i highly doubt that any overlay does cuase this, because the cursor ist part of the overlay, you can clearly see, it is the ingame cursor, which should completly idssapear, if playing with controller.
