There have been also situations where the wind direction makes this problem even worse. I have had par 3's where I have hit punch shots to avoid this which is ridiculosis. Moving your ball position on the tee box is a basic option that all golfers whether professional or amateur use so this should be added to the game, hopefully in the next update.
EA PGA Tour is supposed to be more realistic you should be able to move it from one side to the other at least. If its in the game its in the game!
