This would be a good addition to the game. Others have already mentioned it helps avoid tree hitboxes immediately in front of the default tee position. I think it would also add a little bit of strategy by opening up new shot angles. There are many holes where being able to move to the side of the tee box would give new high risk/high reward shots.
