Naïveté knows no boundaries

Referring to my own of course 😲🫣😂😉

Couple of questions…….First off, what’s that number represent that shows up to the left of your golfers name just before you’re getting ready to play a tournament or whatever? Originally that number started out at 76 for my golfer but has since steadily made its way up to 91 🤔

Secondly, Reward Points…….Can you ever accumulate enough to “buy” a signature spec for every club type in the game? 

And one final thought/question………Even though you cannot “max out” your golfers skills like in previous EA/Woods era games, isn’t it still possible to come close as it were by strategically placing your golfers skill points in the right places and then polishing them off with the signature specs? 🤔

    For your first question,  that number for the lack of a better description is your “power level”.  By that I don’t mean how far you hit the ball, but how good your golfer is overall.  99 is the highest achievable.

    For rewards points, the answer is yes.  Do challenges, accomplish quests by playing career mode, and do the daily free tournament and make sure you end with a win or world rank (this usually means playing it until you birdie or eagle every hole of the 4).  When you get to a higher skill play the dailys that provide tickets,  and use those tickets to enter weekly’s for bigger prizes.   Also,  do the pro pass quests as well.  

    For the last question,  I’d say probably not for no other reason than there is no putting specs and even if you put 10 into putting it only fills your putting power by like half…

    I think of it a little differently.

    1. That number is an overall rating of your character, I'm pretty sure it starts at 67 and not 76. As you add skill points and I'm not sure but maybe your specs, the number will increase. And as @7AnimalMother stated it can maxes at 99. But that depends on how you distributed your points, etc... I know I have maxed out everything and I am at 98 on my levelled player.

    2. With enough VC and patience to have it show up in the store you can buy what is available.

    3. The answer is no... the power skills cost quite a few more points than the other categories. And you max out at 100 points to spend.

    Here is the addendum to @7AnimalMother  and @ELF014   responses.

    1) 99 is the max OVR for your golfer. The way to get to 99 is to be at level 50 and have the 18,000 vc player specs for 1) Driver, 2) Wood and/or Hybrid, 3) Iron, 4) Wedge and 5) Ball.

    2) You can earn enough VC through Tournaments, Career and Challenges. I haven’t played for a long time and I realized from other post that VC cannot be earned in Daily/Weekly quest. I e used to earn there when I was playing. Here were the specs I had when I played last time: Cameron Champ Driver, Patrick Cantlay Wood, Lexi Thompson Hybrid, Tony Finau Iron, Tony Finau Wedge and Dustin Johnson Ball.

    3) I think it is possible. I have zero short game accuracy and Tony Finau’s wedge has super short game accuracy that makes my short game pretty good. I use only 7 power since power can hog out attributes; Cameron Champ’s driver increases that range to allow me to allocate somewhere else such as putting. I have 8 putting since there are no specs for putting.

    Can you explain this part to me?  How do you get this , thru the store?

    @SurfinSantaCruz The 18,000 vc specs are the specs for the featured player such as Dustin Johnson Ball, Tony Finau Iron, and Lexi Thompson Wood. All of these specs are worth 18000 coins. The store under the specs section rotates everyday with different specs for a particular featured player. It is impossible to get all the specs in the same day. It is a waiting game. You earn these coins through Career, Challenges or Tournaments.

    Thank you for #3 😁 That’s basically what I was trying to get at for that last part (maybe I didn’t word it right) 🤔 I KNOW that you can’t quote Un quote “max out your golfer” but if you have all the signature specs and what not then it seems to me that you can come pretty d*** close to achieving the same effect 😉

    @Cowboy1963As an aside I always preferred the "LEGENDARY PRECISION" specs in most cases when I was level building. They provided the highest ACCURACY and CONTROL, plus it was only 15,000 VC.

    But there are a few outliers out there like the HIDEKI IRON spec and the WEDGE SUPERIOR ACCURACY spec.

    It's been a long time since I have bothered to look. But to me they provided better value for less VC.

    In saying all this, there may be better options available since I last looked in the store.

    @ELF014 Good to know 🤔 I think I already have at least one of the Legendary Precision specs for something…….will have to double check 😲🫣😂

    That lists the various specs available. It's not always updated daily, but it is close enough to let you know what's worth getting, based on the stats you wish to boost. 

    Hopefully you can find the best fit for you, and it increases your enjoyment of the game. 🙂

    @Noya_WesaThat spreadsheet you attached has been my guide of what spec to get. It is a great resource to use. The Dustin Johnson Wood, Lexi Thompson Wood and Lexi Thompson Ball specs were my most sought after while I was playing.
