Battlefield 2042 has no official support for the Steam Deck and therefore we can't guarantee its compatibility or stability on the system.
I must suck at these forums. I wrote this for EA PGA Tour. I was in a forum post for that game and hit add new and somehow I guess posted for battlefield? My bad. Not sure if you can help with the PGA tour game or not,

@MrFunBeard, oh, alright! No worries.
The same thing counts for EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™, though. 😅

Understood. I appreciate that response. The compatibility checkmark saying it will work and placement in the “recommended for steam deck” section in the steam store is all valve and not at all dictated by EA? If that’s the case I’ll reach out to valve and ask for their help trying to get it to work and hope they will take down the misleading claims of compatibility from the store

@MrFunBeard, Steam (Valve) does those checks themselves indeed, we don't. If a developer adds full Steam Deck compatibility themselves, I believe it is specifically stated.
More information about Steam Deck compatibility can be found here as well: https://www.steamdeck.com/en/verified.
Hope this helps.
