This game needed better gameplay, societies/countryclubs and also a course designer and it would have blown the competition out of the water. It´s such a shame because the courses do look incredible and I still play the game just for that.

In my opinion... better gameplay and Societies/Country Clubs would have been enough.
They would need to also clean up their difficulty levels... and being able to lockdown playing options. I think being able to fully configure playing levels would go a long way.
Being able to set ever option for your Society would find a home for every level/style of player.
And a handicap system to track your main character would go a long way to keeping things on an even playing field.
There are a lot of things that could be improved with this game. But just a handful of subtle changes would at least make the game playable.

Well I don't think giving customers the option to play with their exclusive Frostbite engine on a course creator was an option. And they had no chance to blow the competition out of the water with this game. Just about all my friends list are playing 2K23 because it's on PS4, they don't have a PS5.

You make a good point, but this was a conscious decision made by the developers of the game. They obviously thought flash was more important than substance when creating this game, and could sell this idea to consumers.

Since this game is a live service as opposed to a yearly title, it’s not out of the question that clubs/societies/co-op career/ course designer etc could all happen at some point.
Before then, the biggest issue imho is play from sand and the rough. For me I don’t think gameplay is nearly as bad as most on this forum think that is with that one exception. Rough and Sand need to actually be penalizing. There needs to be moderate to significant reduction in distance, accuracy, and spin from those across the board.
