To confirm do you get kicked as well only when a 4th person tries to join a private match? (if so read below for the requested info)
Hi @19c0bd54bd42c522 You mentioned that when someone switches PSN IDs they can connect, do you need to switch your PSN account for 4-player matches to work or does the last friend joining need to switch?
Also, is it the same friend every time, or just whoever joins last?

Would it be possible to get the following information on both your accounts and the friends you are playing with when the error occurs?
- Which platform do you play on?
- What are the PSN IDs of the 4 accounts trying to play a private match?
- Does everyone own the PGA Tour on their own accounts or game share?
- What was the last Date/Time you tried and received the error?

Last time it happened was yesterday with 3 other people I tried to play with which I don’t remember their PSN ids
so yeah, when the fourth person joins and two or more players in that lobby aren’t compatible, the lobby will crash and disconnect everyone from the servers and it’ll happen every time without fail. The person who needs to switch psn accounts is whoever isn’t compatible with one of the accounts in which in this case it would be big_tom007 and I believe chahornets. So big_tom007 would need to switch to his Bagger_Vance_007 psn account and then the match will suddenly work with the 4 of us

- Have they ever blocked one another in the past
- Changed their PSN privacy settings
- Made changes to their EA account or unlinked the PSN from a former EA account?
Were taking a look at this to understand what could make the 2 PSN account conflict but some of this information isn't visible on EA accounts, if possible they could post in the thread with this info and we can share it with the team!
also, to confirm how did you figure out "big_tom007" and " chahornets" where the accounts that had issues with one another?

The answer is no to the first 3 questions. We have been able to determine through trial and error which accounts in our chat group are incompatible with each other. LIke I mentioned before this doesn't just happen with the four of us. The issue started with the update after the Ryder Cup season ended. During the Ryder Cup season none of us ever had a problem, if that helps.

It does not matter which of us joins last. The combination of those four players will not work, no matter who hosts and in what order we join the match. They player who switches accounts can join in any order and it will work because there seems to be no conflict with his alternate account. To be clear, the problem is not with just the four of us. We are in a PSN chat group with roughly 60 people and it happens to all of us, depending on what combination of players are trying to play together. Some of us, like myself, seem to have more issues than others but it happens to everyone.
Also, while I am most interested in private matches so that we can all play together, the problem is not confined to private matches. It happens with ranked matches as well.
This is a video of it happening in a ranked foursome match. This occurred at 1:09 PM EST today, 2/2/2024. I have played several hundred matches with my teammate in this video, and now we can very rarely play together.
This is a video of it happening in ranked stroke play. You can see that my first attempt appeared to work, but my 2nd and 3rd attempts I was kicked, presumably because there were "incompatible" players in the lobby. Obviously I don't know who else was in the 2nd and 3rd lobbies, but rest assured they were all kicked as well. This occurred at 12:34 PM EST today, 2/2/2024
Just wanted to check and make sure you saw my responses from Friday? Do you need any further information?

Any update on this? We’re the videos helpful? Do you need more information? I traveled last week and tried playing from that location and had the same issue so it definitely seems to be tied to PSN account somehow. The list of people that I can’t play with gets longer every day. Very frustrating.

Hey Illium this group has been very respectful and patient just waiting for a response or an update, could we please have some information on if the issue has been identified or if EA doesn't care and we should just move on.
- I’ve been having this same problem for months.
I posted a message about it in the “suggestions forum” on the main page and never got a response.
It started doing it after like the third update when the game first came out.
Then after a smaller update, it fixed for a while, but then it started happening again, and it’s been happening ever since. 6 months or so.
Makes the game unplayable because that’s the only mode that my friends and I play.
Sometimes it happens with 5 people.
We end up having to play with a threesome and a twosome, or two twosomes, which defeats the purpose of online play.
We play on Xbox.
We’ve tried everything. Deleting cache, joining one by one, joining through the game, joining through the Xbox live party, joining all at the same time, joining on the person that is already in the lobby, joining from the Xbox Home Screen, trying during the day, at night, starting a match with 2 and having a lobby with two then inviting the two that were already in a round, deleting the game and reinstalling it. - 99% of the time, we try once to get it to work, and when it doesn’t we all just play a different game because it sucks that we can’t all play together.
Such a shame because this is such a great game.
Before this, we were still playing Rory.

I play on XBOX series X, and we can't get a game to work with more than 3 people, we have tried everything. Even on Rory we could do it without issue playing with 4 people. This game is trash. It worked at launch, then after one of the updates it stopped working. As soon as the 4th player joins the lobby we all get kicked from EA server,
Why are you guys constantly asking for information from gamers. This online lobby crashing has been happening to everyone almost since game release. We play amongst a group of 60 players on Xbox series S/X and all of us have had this same disconnect issue when wanting to play amongst ourselves or in the online lobbies. This is not new!! Please fix this issue.

- Yes, and we used to be able to play together before in private matches 12 deep. As reported in these other posts, we can no longer do a PM with more than 3 people. Sometimes when we have four we try the 2v2 online mode, but if we ever match with all 4 of us - 2 verse 2, then it immediately kicks us and pops up that we lost connection to ea servers. When we do a private match, it will kick at least one of us up to all of us and pop up that we lost connection to ea servers. When we try to match with 4 or more on the 2-16 stroke play online mode it works 100% of the time with 3 of us or less. With 4 or more it will kick at least one of us if not all of us and pop up that we lost connection to ea servers. This is just the 4 of us that are friends - the actually online lobby can fill up to 16 without issue as long as more than 3 of them aren't on my friends.
- This occurrence happened last night. I could do another one of these for the previous night with different gametags. If needed, I could do this tonight or any night until y'all decide to fix it. It's not that hard to recreate.
I'm pretty sure EA Illium is no longer working for EA. Before the old Answer HQ board was transported here, his tag was showing him as retired. There is no more support from EA for this game, and there hasn't been for nearly a year. The game has been cancelled by the CEO when he decided to downsize the company, laying off some 675 workers.
