If I swing dead on straight making contact with the ball center mass I expect the ball to follow the line of my shot target, not land within some random landing zone that stretches across a significant portion of the width of the fairway. To what degree the ball doesn't follow the line of my shot target (after swinging dead on straight) should be determined by the lie of the ball, the pitch of the ground where the ball lies, the wind and so forth. These things would also impact the carry of my shot naturally including the vigor in which I made contact with the ball. If that makes me an arcade player so be it. The outcome of a given shot should manifest itself on-screen fully when addressing the ball. Not interested in playing a RPG.
Doing the power approach shots training challenge I spotted its description specifically referred to the 'random mishit circle'.
What is this "Random mishit circle" you speak of? I've never heard this term being referenced on The Golf Channel. :-P

I’ve had perfect/perfect drives go left and right
In Arcade I want to work out the exact distance and where I want to aim to try and holeout I don’t want something based on RNG for it go in
