probably not worth their time. noone is going to play it wityh 18. once i'm down 2 or 3 holes I just forfeit. if i was forced to play i'd just uninstall. and if you think its unsporting and I should enjoye the round, i'd say for that I might as well play offline. Online gaming in general, and especially true for pc gaming for the last 15 years, will always be dead and unplayable due to the anonymity and societies who respect it less than athletic sports.
@RichACMy personal opinion is that if you join a session to play golf you have committed to playing the round.
And that it is a bit disrespectful to your opponent and shows poor sportsmanship to just quit because you are going to lose.Edit:
I was rethinking what I wrote and I still stand by my post. However maybe it would be advantageous for EA to provide an option for an opponent to concede a match.
This may be a way for those unwilling to play to the end to gracefully bow out.

That's somewhat ironic given I'm sure it was you complaining in the past about people quitting from online matches. And for what it's worth it would annoy me if any opponent did this. Consider that others may actually want a proper nine hole matchplay game.

I only complained about them quitting and not getting a loss and their opponent not getting a win. Consider it a "forfeit". Honestly, another problem with online gaming is that most online gamers have no sports sense and a twisted definition of what competitive even means.
What you were arguing for, is to allow cheaters to keep evading losses and using their connection as an excuse. Most of us never disconnect from a match so that is THEIR problem. And EA can't detect whether they are closing their connection on purpose.

You want to know why noone plays this game. Because you need have to some real severe mental problems to want to keep going out and playing against people who you have no chance in hell of competing with. Just as much as the people who destroy all the competition like robots and enjoy that. Either that or you have be young and naive. Because it is certainly time wasted of your life.
