Patch 4.5 discussion

At least now the console folks will have one less thing to complain about.

I just gave this a quick try. It finally feels like a current gen golf game 🙂. A huge pity that it wasn't like this from launch as so many will be playing it less now (like me) or have moved on entirely but good to have got there eventually.

Correct. What's been added is a new performance mode on consoles, which was sadly/weirdly missing at launch.

Let's hope that patch 5 finally adresses a lot of the issues the community has asked for.

Glad somebody just put low presets to console and fixed some bugs.

That does not adress all the issues people have with the game, its lack of social features or gameplay.

Well, for the PC 4.5 patch, I noticed 2 things:

1. Store timer seems to only show up when viewing specs. It's GONE everywhere else. I wonder if that means there won't be any more new items like clothes, clubs etc etc.

2. For the first time ever, when exiting the game via Steam I got an error message saying it couldn't sync with the cloud. I'm hopeful this is just a one-time thing and may not be related to the game or having to go through EA's app.

I am amused that the only "gameplay" update is that you can now see round setting on the scorecard screen. This addition has absolutely nothing to do with gameplay.

This patch has introduced jerkiness into the Xbox Series S version where there is no performance option.

Same here…. Absolutely shocking again EA imagine not adding this performance mode option to Xbox series S console’s considering it’s also a next gen console capable of 120fps!!
