And on the PC they did. Its over, literally noone is playing on the pc online when a couple months ago the game was literally growing. I'm absolutely infuriated i wasted a whopping 80 dollars for this obvious bare bones cash grab that ea apparently resents so much they are literally sabotaging it.. Who the fk is going to sit here and hit the que button every 2 mins for an hour. You guys want development of the courses and physics biut that won't continue to happen with no players buying the game... and that comes from communities of people playing together online. period.
What you say is partly true. But have you considered the reason no one is playing the game is because the majority of players are NOT interested in playing an arcade golf game?
Communities and online features don't matter if the game isn't worth playing.
I know that many complain about how difficult/unplayable 2K is... I disagree and have always felt they included something for everyone if you wanted to adjust some game settings. Plus if it is so unplayable, why is everyone still playing it?
I don't know how many more forks EA is going to keep sticking in their game. I thought it was pretty much done on arrival.
People on this forum have been making suggestions on the betterment of this game since the day it released. And it was clear back then, and even more so now the developers have their own agenda and no clue on how to create a good golfing environment in a golf game.
It's like the Chargers of the NFL, I don't know how with so many resources available to you... to make things worse with every update? I think it is pretty obvious the head coach needs to go.
I have to disagree - the majority of my circle (ok, all of my circle) are waiting for the stable arcade version of the game. The themes, rotating game modes and minimal lobbies drove them away. There is a huge crowd that wants to live vicariously through this game and get the rush of being able to hole out to make the difference in a game instead of just hoping the other player messes up. Amateur should allow you to use muscle memory to repeat a shot - wind, elevation and swing should be the variables and not putting a ghost in the machine to make you fallible.

I am okay with an arcade game but they need to cater to everyone. I don't think anyone who plays golf would call this anything other than an arcade game.
What you seem to be asking for is a stable game, and I think that should have been a given for a AAA title.
Themes, rotating game modes etc... are more directed towards arcade features than anything to do with the actual golf. I don't expect to see pumpkins and the sort on the courses I play on IRL.
I think what you are complaining about is the RNG baked into the game. I have said since the beginning they over did this... that RNG should never have been a main function of introducing difficulty into the game.
That you should always be rewarded for the execution of a good shot.
RNG should kick in the more if a swing is off the swing path or poorly timed.
I think we really need to ask ourselves why there are no people in the lobby. It is because no one is interested in playing this game in it's current state.
And I would say participation has continued to decline after the games initial release. After the honeymoon period it has been a pretty steady decline.
