oh ya you are right. ridiculous breaks and balls that don't change speed no matter the distance, and players launching putts into the flagstick from less than 10 feet away sure seem much more realistic than EA. lol I mean i've played 100s of games on EA and never seen the ball pop out of the cup, or continue to roll over it since they patched that. not saying it doesn't happen. But come on you can't compared the graphics of these games. l I don't think some of you realize that graphics and physics go hand in hand. SO to argue a game that looks like its from 1998 has better physics than ea's game, is laughable.

It's hard to argue with someone who doesn't seem to grasp things.
How does the quality of a graphical representation of something have anything to do with the math being applied to it?
I have no idea what you are referring to in regards to 2K's putting model. As in real life if the greens are fast... slow putts will break a ridiculous amount, especially downhill.
As for ramming putts into holes... I tested EA's original putting model and from 1 foot I could hit a 30 putt and it would still go in the hole. They have since adjusted it... because I have no idea what it does now. It seems you need putting skill points for the physics to even seem to be reasonable. Because without them it is like there is a glass cover on the hole at times.
