The patch notes will come out soon...we had to wait this long, what's another hour or two?
My theory on this is that they very wisely just kind of pushed the update out so that existing players would see it, mess around with it, and wait to see if people start to complain that it broke other aspects of the game.
Even if they do post a detailed patch note sometime today, I would bet that they are going to wait a couple of days, or maybe until this weekend or at the beginning of Masters week to actually put a little hype behind this to try to get new sales.
I hope they are very successful in getting some new interest in the game with these new courses, and with the Jack aspect added to it. I exclusively play online Match or Foursome play, I haven't played a "quick match" or messed with any AI pros since the first week of release, but what they did with the Jack Nicklaus addition is an absolute blast. Very well done, and Jack and Arnold are my favorite players of all time. It's a great addition to the game that I had no idea was coming. I'm hoping they can add Gary Player and Tom Watson as well since they were part of the initial launch with the opening ceremony clip for the Masters. I would LOVE to play as those guys, against the other two in a pickup quick play match.
So let's just play the game, enjoy the new courses (which is a huge aspect of this update, probably the most significant update since the game was released), see if there are any bugs or broken aspects because of this patch, politely report them to EA if we find anything, and hope that they have a successful bump in interest and sales for this game during and after the Masters. We *want* them to sell more copies, we *want* them to keep this game alive and keep improving it throughout this year.
I still play this game almost every day, since early release, I love it. It has it's flaws, but I want it to be successful and for EA to keep allocating resources to continue to improve gameplay and add meaningful content. - 1 year ago@alldaygolf Maybe you are right, and understand me, I have been the biggest advocate of this game since the beginning, I love playing it and I hope it will be alive for a long time. But it's not the first moment EA have problem with their communication in this game.
- I'm very happy that they add 4 more courses, I'm a career mode player and I always want more of these beautiful course.
- I think this big update should have come with gameplay improvements and I don't think it's the case.
- The Jack addition it's cool but didn't change anything in my life.
- The add of the par 3 course if it didn't appear in the career mode, it feels like the ryder cup addition for me, cool but useless. - 1 year ago
They said in the patch note that several gameplay update are there but I can't find any on the list.

Do the new courses automatically add to current career rotation or do we need to start new career?

Hey Everyone,
Apologies on the delay and thanks for already sharing your feedback for Patch 12!
Also, thanks @sroel908 for sharing the link, you can also find the patch notes here on Answers HQ here: EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ Patch Notes 12.0
I'll have both the patch notes and this feedback thread saved to the top of the general discussion boards. Once everyone has had a moment, let us know what you think!
- 1 year ago@EA_Illium I'm very grateful for the new content and courses but severly disappointed that many of the longstanding glitches that have made certain modes unplayable still aren't addressed even though EA is fully aware of the problems. match play peer issues still prevent some 4somes from every being compatible and the game DCes every player in the lobby as the 4th player enters. Matchplay/4somes only counts wins/losses about 40% of the matches being played. Why can't the simple bugs like that that have been breaking the game for 4-5 months straight be fixed before adding new content?

I thought Royal Troon was fun. Ball runs for miles so lots of the holes are very reachable without much power. It is very similar in appearance to St Andrews and Royal Liverpool though. Even just changing the sky texture and lighting would've helped with the variety a little. I live nearby so maybe I'm expecting too much of what my local courses look and feel like.
Valhalla was cool. It's good to have more courses with interesting course architecture instead of just wide open and straight fairways.
Augusta par 3 was trickier than I expected. Played on sim so was guessing the elevation. Had a couple spin off the green and into the water. That would be a great match play course...
Haven't played Pinehurst yet.
Big content update which is nice. Not feeling overly optimistic by the lack of feature updates though. I'm guessing it's just content updates hereafter. After a long wait since the last patch I was hoping we'd see something exciting like crossplay, proper ranked multiplayer, or a refresh of the tournaments. Or even just some critical bug fixes like losing tournament scores and head to head match play scores. Don't think it's overly critical to expect a sports game to be able to keep score.

I just saw the details of the latest update and looking forward to playing the 4 new courses. Augusta par 3 was unexpected but a nice addition.
I enjoy playing EA Sports Golf and prefer it over 2K23 which I stopped playing some time ago. I still think that Perfect Golf is a a notch above EA Sport Golf but unfortunately development of it stopped a few years ago when the two principal developers sold it to Trackman and moved there to take over the rendition of courses for their simulator.
Some features that I am still hoping to see in EA Sports Golf are the following:
1. The option to save quick and multiplayer rounds or the option of recording rounds that friends can play.
2. Replays with multiple camera angles.
3. Adding animated golfers on the same hole or other holes when they are in your line of sight and out of range. I disable the galleries and commentary when I play so having animated golfers would add to the immersion and would be a feature I have never seen in any golf game.
4. A true 3D environment where I can "walk" the course.
5. Statistics for a round such as greens in regulation, fairways hit, and total feet of putts made.
6. Hot key for turning on and off the green grid.
7. The option to disable the max triple bogey on a hole.
Thanks for the latest update.

A pleasant update, pleased with the courses added!
Disappointed to see career mode bugs still ignored. Proximity to hole stats for User golfers in career has been bugged since day 1 and CPU golfers driving distance is too short.
Store rotations still could be better. Why can't we just have a full selection of items to always chose from. Why the wierd rotations?
